There’s nothing like finding a look that’s as comfortable as it is cute. A few Saturday’s ago, I set out around downtown Dallas to view possible wedding venues with my sister and this knit cape, jeans and flat boot combination made the 5 appointments doable. I snagged this tribal knit cape at Sheinside (and it’s on sale for just $33!), and I’ve already worn it numerous times. It’s so easy to throw on any neutral sweater or top and it completely transforms it into a statement look. These Michael Kors riding boots and J. Brand jeans have been staples in my closet for years and they both make days spent walking around much easier. This is the perfect look for a sunny but chilly day.

Fair-well xx,

I absolutely love finding online clothing boutiques that offer a little something different. So you can imagine my excitement when the lovely sisters from Kissue reached out to me to tell me about their new Texas online clothing boutique featuring some of the most unique designs at amazing prices. I absolutely loved this sassy caged pencil skirt (the kind of pencil skirt you wear to a club, not the office) and this gorgeous mosaic crop top. Both of the geometric pieces paired perfectly with my caged heels. Per usual, I wanted to add a little sparkle and a pop of color to the look, so I paired my new statement necklace from Eula Fern’s, a teal translucent clutch and bright red lipstick. The thick, metallic material of the crop top make it perfect for cooler months and the sassy pencil skirt will leave you feeling confident. I think it’s safe to say that Kissue has become one of my new favorite online shopping boutiques.

This is such a fun look for a night out on the town with the girls.

Fair-well xx,

It’s certainly no secret that I love mixing vivid colors, but there is definitely a formula to doing it without looking like a pre teen in a Limited Too getup (yes, I said it, I was a 90’s child and, no surprises, it was my favorite store).

Neons have been trending for a few seasons, and a great way to wear highlighter brights is by pairing them with neutrals. This neon pink and tan striped sweater is the perfect example of how perfect this pairing works. But why wear just one neon with you can get away with two? I continued the neon theme with the neon yellow tassel necklace from Kendra Scott and added even more color with these reflective sunnies from Nordstrom (just $12 y’all!) and this awesome turquoise and gold cuff from Eula Accessories (just $11!). Puffer vests have been a staple this season and the neutral military green in this one works well with both the neon pink and neon yellow. This look would pair great with denim jeans, but these pastel mint pants added a little something unexpected. I finished the look with another classic neutral in these tan Michael Kors riding boots and crossbody bag. I got this adorable Bando coffee tumbler in my company secret santa and I have been using it nearly everyday – it’s so darn cute!

This is a perfect look for a winter brunch on the patio or a stroll through the city.

Happy Friday! Between my day job and planning a wedding, I haven’t had much time to devote to my blog, but I’ve committed this weekend to catching up. This is a look I photographed well before the holidays, but I still love it for this time of year. I’ve had this light pink faux shearling vest and bejeweled sweater for a few seasons now, but never thought to pair them together until I was getting ready for work one morning. I love that they match almost perfectly. I love soft grey and pastel pink together so  these grey boots and crossbody bag were the perfect accessories. East & Lo boutique was kind enough to gift me with these amazing jeans by Flying Monkey and they are my new favorite. I love the wash of them, the distressed look and they are the perfect balance of stretchy and stark, so they fit like a glove. What’s even better – all of their Flying Monkey denim is currently on sale online so you can snag a pair for yourself!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fair-well xx,

2014: A Year of New Beginnings

I began writing this post last week with the intention of posting last Saturday, but another life-changing moment changed my plans. I still wanted to share my recap of the last year, so here it is…

2014 was a year of exciting new beginnings. From starting this blog in May to moving cities for a new job in September, there were so many moments that changed my life for the better. As the new year kicks off, I wanted to take a look back and share some of those moments with you all. Happy 2015!

1742353_658916227494954_1584455678_nAfter dating for 5 years and taking a year-long break, my boyfriend, Cole, and I reconnected and started an incredible new relationship centered in Christ. I thank God for the time that we spent apart to grow as individuals and help us gain the wisdom we needed to develop the relationship we now have. 2014 was a wonderful adventure with Cole by my side and I cannot wait to see the things He has in store for us for 2015 (two of them now being a fairytale engagement and winter ’15 wedding!!).

1741020_472291886206149_194813927_nI completed my first-ever half marathon at one of my favorite places, Disney World. I was never a runner until college, when I no longer had cheerleading to force me to exercise, and while I was an avid 2-3 mile runner on my own, I had never so much as even completed a 5K race until I began training. The whole Run Disney experience was such an amazing experience that I had to come back to do it again. Last year one of my good friends Lara joined me, and this year I will be back again in February to complete the Disney Princess Half with my family.

The love that my parents share is the most amazing gift they could ever bestow. Their unconditional love, support, patience and kindness toward one another  has set the standard for the kind of marriage I seek one day.

I’d started at Kendra Scott as an intern at the start of my junior year when it was a teeny tiny company compared to the brand it has become, and I loved it so much that I kept returning for more! Kendra Scott will forever hold a very special place in my heart and I learned so many invaluable things during my four years there. I’m now working as a copywriting and PR coordinator at Fossil, Inc. providing creative services for such brands as Michael Kors, MICHELE, and Marc by Marc Jacobs in the Dallas area and I absolutely love it! I’ve learned so much in my time so far there and I can’t wait for what 2015 has in store for my career.

10535047_253088651555198_1082506142_nStarting a blog was something I’d wanted to do for two years before I finally took the leap and created it. Since I started Vandi Fair, it has become such an amazing creative source for me and has allowed me to meet and work with such incredible people and expand my creativity beyond borders I’d ever dreamed.

10483329_787679564596942_1260141064_n2014 was also a year that provided so many traveling opportunities and memories with the people I love most.

10296629_226328590895005_1370530241_nI got to go on a trip to Newport Beach while working for Kendra Scott for a social media adventure with one of my best friends and fellow bloggers Olivia from Livvyland.

With each year that passes, I realize what a blessing Tiffany is to me. She truly is my best friend and I am so lucky to call her my sister.

10547042_1467983570116326_268969789_nI also got to spend time with my Nana and my mom’s side of the family in an amazing trip to the crescent city, New Orleans and made some memories I’ll always cherish.

I will definitely never forget 2014 and the amazing ways that God changed my course in life. 2015 will certainly be a year of wedding planning, but more importantly, a year of preparing to become a wife to Cole. I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for this year.
