What’s ironic about this time of year is that while everyone is talking about fall fashion, the temperature has peaked to the hottest of the summer, which is why I’m sharing this look with you today. I can’t even count the amount of off-shoulder tops that have snuck their way into my closet this spring/summer season, and this pastel striped one I scored from Asos is one of my favorites. It’s a cozy, lightweight knit material and I absolutely love the soft colors. I paired the top with these light washed denim shorts I got for a steal at Nordstrom. I love the fit of them and the just-the-right-amount of distressed detailing. To complete the look, I paired these fun fringe sandals, my go-to pastel Kate Spade bag (which I wear with the convertible crossbody straps on the weekends) and these light pink fringe earrings.
This is the perfect daytime look for a summer weekend.
I am absolutely obsessed with the new series Astronaut Wives Club. The dramatic, historical plot has filled my Mad Men void and the early 1960’s-inspired wardrobe is just to-die-for. When I saw this dress at Chic Wish, it immediately reminded me of the fashion on the show, and I couldn’t wait to style it. As I’ve said before, I am majorly excited that these retro, ultra-feminine silhouettes and patterns are trending and this dress is definitely proof. I love the subtly-shiny fabric and the adorable lemon print just screams summer. What’s even better – the dress is on sale for just $60!
I styled the dress with my go-to cap toe heels and a classic red lip to keep the look timeless. To add to the retro-feminine vibes, I paired the satin navy bow clip (which my sister always makes fun of me for wearing but I LOVE it!) and a scalloped mother-of-pearl statement necklace. I completed the look with this playful, pop-of-color lemon clutch.
This is the perfect look for a night at the drive-in movies or an ice cream date with your guy.

Another thing that’s so great about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the amazing interior goods you can find for unbeatable prices! Whether you’re like me and will be soon moving into a new home or are simply looking to add a little pizzaz to your current home, I’ve put together a little round-up of some of my favorite interior finds from the sale (many of which I’ve already purchased).
As I previously mentioned in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide , shopping for fall items in the heat of July is difficult, but when you find items like this floral jumpsuit that can be worn from summer to fall in the #Nsale, it makes shopping and saving pretty easy. At 30% off, this sassy little jumpsuit was the first thing I put in my shopping bag when I shopped the Nordy’s sale. I absolutely loved the colorful, retro flower print, the flared pant silhouette and the unique cut-outs in the front and back. When it came in the mail, I immediately tried it on and had my photographer-fiancé take me to dinner in it (and photograph me on the way.)
I got a size small in the jumpsuit and I definitely had room in it, but I actually the flowy, comfortable fit. Another fun surprise was that it had pockets – yay! The pants were a little long so I paired them with super-high wedges (similar here). I also scored this fringe bag for (wait for it…) only $21 in the sale! It tied my brown wedges in perfectly with the look. I added a bit of bling with these gold statement earrings from Kendra Scott (similar), and some wrist candy with my favorite watch, and pretty bangles from Wanderlust and Co.
This jumpsuit is the perfect transition piece for summer to fall — just throw on a brown leather jacket and it will take you all the way into November.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially went live to all shoppers today, and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably overwhelmed at the amount of goodness in the annual sale event. What makes the Nordstrom Anniversary sale so unique and amazing is that it features brand-new fall product from all of your favorite designers at discounts of up to 40%–prices you won’t see again until well those after-holiday sales. From clothing to accessories, beauty to home goods, the sale features so many spectacular finds at prices you can’t beat. While it’s certainly not easy buying fall/winter necessities such as boots and coats while it’s 100+ degrees outside, you and your wallet will be thanking you a couple months from now when these same items are full-priced.
To make things simpler, I’ve first listed my best all-around items (some of which I already purchased for myself during the early access period), then broke them down by section with my top few favorites. Stay tuned for more of my #Nsale round-ups and how I style the pieces I scored in the sale.
