I’m loving all the throwback trends that are currently happening in fashion. The full skirts of the 50’s, mod prints from the 60’s and seventies-style bell bottoms are all so fun to incorporate into current looks, like the one I’m sharing today.
Don’t let the fierce humidity and 90 degree days fool you(well in Texas, at least) – fall has officially arrived, and while I won’t actually be snuggling up next to a fire anytime soon, a girl can dream. I’m bringing you my first fall fashion post of the year, fireside.
I was so excited to find this long sleeve striped dress online (only $40, y’all!) and even more so when it arrived at my doorstep. It is so comfortable, just flowy enough and is the perfect dress for the fall season. It will look amazing paired with an oversized plaid scarf once it actually feels like fall around here. After being in love with Jack Rogers’ colorful, cozy flip flops for the past couple of years, I got a pair of riding boots from the brand and they are just as comfortable and chic. I have a feeling they’ll be a staple this fall and winter season. I love the unexpected look of mixing brown and black together, so I paired the brown boots with the dress and finished it off with a fun fringe bag to complement the boots. You’ll rarely see me without at least a splash of color in my look, and my go-to turquoise necklace from Teal House Collection did the trick perfectly.
My sunnies are from an amazing company called Panda that makes the cutest, most lightweight sunglasses out of bamboo and the best part — every pair of glasses sold give sthe gift of vision to someone in need. I’m all about fashion for a cause! Learn more about their company by visiting their site and you can shop the style I have on here.
This is such a versatile look for the season and I can promise this won’t be the last time you’ll see me in it.

Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing a look that’s perfect parts casual and chic. Blush pink is my current favorite color of the moment, and I am so happy that the color will be trending through fall and winter (I already have a coat in the color that I cannot wait to wear), so you can imagine my excitement to find these distressed jeans from Express in the pretty, feminine color. What I love best about these jeans is the fit – unlike traditional skinnies, these give you a bit of breathing room with a looser, relaxed fit. They can easily be dressed down as I did with a tee and flats or dressed up with a flirty top and heels.
Happy Sunday! There was a cold front that actually swept through Dallas this weekend (gasp! a miracle!), a reminder that fall actually is right around the corner. Be that as it may, temperatures are still in the eighties and nineties down here, so finding a few transitional outfits to get through the month of September is key, which is why I’m sharing this colorful look today.
Wearing shorter skirts and summer dresses and pairing them with booties like these or a blazer (or both) is the perfect way to start getting into the fall mindset without sweating every time you step outside. If you follow me on instagram, you’ve probably seen this scallop striped skirt because I’m obsessed with it – it’s stretchy, chic and oh-so-comfy (I even wore it to Disney World). I paired a simple white peplum with it and threw a bold splash of color over it with this amazing neon blazer. I accessorized with my new favorite necklace that I customized at the Bauble Bar Build a Charm, and continued the bright color with my favorite tassel clutch. I added an extra special arm party with my new Alex and Ani bracelets. I seriously wear these everyday – you can layer and layer them without worrying about them being too hevay and they have so many cool, personal bracelets. What’s even better – you can currently get a free bangle with any purchase over $75 online. Shop now!
This is the perfect look for a day out with the gals that could easily be worn from day to night.
In case you haven’t heard, nude is the new black, and while I’m usually all about color, I do love that pretty tones of beige and blush are becoming an alternative for the dark colors that usually saturate the fall/winter season. I scooped up this adorable bodycon dress online initially because of the pretty hue and scallop hemline and was even more excited about the surprise strappy back.
A neutral dress like this could be styled with all kind of colors, but I decided to go out of my element and style it with more tones of nude, like this rose gold Rebecca Minkoff bag and strappy nude sandals. I finished the look with these statement pearl tassel earrings from Park Lane to complete the classy, feminine feel. This would be a perfect date night look – in fact, Cole took me out for dinner after shooting these photos.
Oh and also, there are SO many amazing sales going on right now for Labor Day, so I rounded up the best of the best below. Happy shopping!
