Happy Monday friends! After a rough case of the post-New Year’s back-to-work Monday blues last week, I’m feeling inspired and motivated this week to put my New Year’s resolutions in action (which I’ll be sharing on the blog later this week!) – and I hope you all are too! For today’s post, I’m headed to ballerina boot camp with this feminine meets edgy look featuring a darling little velvet mini skirt and my go-to over-the-knee black boots.

The 90’s velvet trend has taken the fashion world by storm and I’m 100% loving it! One of the things that the trend has brought back to surface is velvet, with everything from velvet dresses to velvet boots softening up the scene. This little blush crushed velvet mini skirt caught my eye because of its ultra-feminine ballerina vibes and the amazing $35 price tag, but trying to style it for these extra cold days of winter we’ve been experiencing lately was a bit of a head scratcher. To make it warm and cozy, I started with this cable knit sweater (currently 50% off!) in grey. I love the look of blush pink and grey together + it totally goes along with the ballerina theme.

To add a little edge to the girly look and solve my problem of needing to cover up because of the super cold weather, I tried these black over-the-knee boots on with the outfit and loved the way it all looked together. I topped it off with a black lace choker to add some extra 90’s flair and added a little bit of sparkle with a fun glitter-y clutch.

Fair-well xx,
