If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ll probably know that I’m a self-proclaimed wino. If I’m at a dinner, wedding or cocktail event and wine is an option, 99% of the time, this girl is going for it (it’s a close call when there’s margaritas though!) So you can imagine my delight when Barefoot Wine introduced their Refresh Spritzer Cans, a delightfully refreshing take on wine. What I especially love about the spritzers is that they come in a can so you can easily pack them in your cooler and take them on-the-go. No more resorting to your guy’s canned beers when out on the lake – HOORAY!
Read on to see why I’m celebrating the end of summer with this amazingly refreshing new drink from Barefoot Wine.
Sad as it may be, summer is officially coming to an end. While the weather certainly doesn’t show it, the onset of college football and the emergence of the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks is a promise that our days in the sun are limited.
This probably won’t come as a surprise, but summer is my absolutely favorite time of the year, so I’m hanging onto every last drop and celebrating with some wine on-the-go, poolside and beachside. Since trying them, these Refresh Spritzers by Barefoot Wine are definitely a new staple for me. And they’ll be the first thing I’ll put in my shopping cart when Cole and I head to Myrtle Beach with his side of the family for an end-of-summer getaway.
Let’s talk about the two flavors they come in. I’m a white-wine-by-the-pool and red wine at night kind of girl, so the first flavor I tried was the Crisp White Spritzer. This was so delicious and refreshing, y’all – especially when served ice cold! A mix of Chenin Blanc (one of my fave white wines!) and Riesling, with subtly sweet notes of peach juxtaposed with citrus and green apple, it was the absolute perfect poolside treat. Think of it as a Champagne-meets-Pinot Grigio – YUM!
Next up is the Summer Red Spritzer – which is also served chilled and tastes more like a sweet red (but not too sweet!) This yummy, refreshing concoction is a blend of Moscato, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir with notes of orange, raspberry and tastes like an iced sangria – so delicious!
So what are ya waiting for?Grab yourself a 4-pack of Barefoot Refresh Spritzer Cans and celebrate the end of summer this weekend!
Thank you to Barefoot Wines for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
