As promised, this year I’m featuring more interior posts on my blog, starting with little reveals in each of the rooms of our current house (and we’ll be moving by the end of the year – so there will be more to come!) So far, I’ve revealed my colorful chic office, our entryway credenza and bar cart, our living room revamp and even talked about our new mattress in the master bedroom. You may have noticed our bedroom was a little bar eat the time, which is why I’m so excited to show you what we’ve done since then, thanks to a bedding and decor refresh with my friends at Unison Home.

Click on the read more button below to see more photos of our newly updated bedroom and get the full scoop on why I’m loving Unison Home’s collection of bedding and decor that perfectly blend modern and timeless.

When Unison Home invited me to take part in their #UnisonHomeChallenge campaign, I was on cloud nine because I’d been wanting to revamp our bedroom ever since we moved in our a year ago. After perusing their bedding collection featuring classic, clean prints and solids made from high-quality fabrics, I knew it was the perfect place to start our little revamp. I loved the collection so much, in fact, that it inspired this girl to do something she never has before…decorate a room in nearly 100% neutrals.  I’m so happy with the way it turned out, and I feel like we now have a clean slate for if we ever decide to add a pop of color later down the road when we move.

One thing that I know will always be consistent about our bedroom – our comforter and main shams will be white. This is not only because I love the bright, clean look of it, but also because I know Cole and I make somewhat of a messy family. In fact, this gorgeous duvet cover is currently drying after Cole accidentally spilled the coffee in the photos all over it (bleach gets everything out y’all!) So when I spotted this bright duvet cover featuring a subtle geometric pattern, I knew it would be the perfect place to start for our bedroom revamp. I love a bed with layers of fluffy, inviting pillows, and since we have a California King size bed, I went for three euro shams in the same white fabric. I loved the grey throw that we kept at the end of our bed before, but we definitely needed an upgrade (Cole went through all of college with that thing…yuck!) and this pattern just so happened to also come in grey, so I went with a grey coverlet to add some texture and layers to the bottom of our bed.

When it came to decorating the bed with throw pillows, I was immediately drawn to the grey and white gingham print (I’m obsessed with gingham) but then my heart was town when I spotted the simple black and white polka dot print. I ultimately decided to be bold and combine the prints by opting for small rectangle versions of the grey gingham pillows (which we plan to get monogrammed – how cute will that be?!) and traditional square-sized throw pillows in the polka dot print. These throw pillows are so nice, y’all. They come with the down feather pillow insert and you can easily zip off the pillow cover so you can easily wash them or get them monogrammed as I plan to do!

I’d already bought these bold black and white striped curtains, so I thought, why not incorporate a little bit of stripe pattern in the bedding and decor too? This little bow pillow was the perfect way to top off the bed while these amazing striped vases from Unison home helped tie the stripe print in throughout the entire room.

Some of the other things I got to spruce up our bedroom with thanks to Unison home are this gorgeous geometric mirror (which I’m using as a tray, but ti can be hung on the wall too!), a coordinating gold prism frame and this little marble printed ottoman, which doubles as extra seating in our bedroom.
