Happy almost-weekend loves! Right about now is the time where fall clothes start to creep into department stores and online boutiques (which always drives me nuts since it’s the hottest time of the year). Investing in fall pieces now is hard to do when the temps are well into the 100’s, but what you can start doing is looking for transitional pieces like this blue ots tunic I’m sharing today.
Side note about investing in fall pieces now – the one excuse I give myself for indulging in my most coveted fall pieces well ahead of time is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which is starting next Thursday, August 14th for Nordstrom card holders and the following Friday, August 22nd week for everyone, so mark your calendars! Now back to today’s outfit. I just adore this little ruffled off-the-shoulder tunic for lots of reasons, starting with its seasonal versatility. It can easily be worn as a dress or swimsuit coverup in the summer if you’re a shorty or average height lady like me, or thrown on with your favorite pair of skinny jeans as you transition to fall like I did for today’s post. I just love the blue, striped nautical patter of the tunic and the lightweight feeling of the material too. My favorite little detail of the tunic is the elastic ruched embroidering on the top and sleeves that creates a voluminous, ruffled effect. It’s just the perfect throw-on tunic for a pool party when worn by itself or for brunch with the girls when worn with jeans. I love the top so much that I linked similar ones for you to shop below.

As I mentioned, to style the tunic I opted for my go-to destroyed white skinny jeans. These are just the best jeans ever and are already a steal, but are now on major sale, making them under $40! To accessorize, I went with a few of my staples like my nude fringe sandals and light pink Kate Spade bag and finished it off with a bright color pop in these hot pink tassel earrings by Moon and Lola (which are oh-so-lightweight, I might add).

I had paid for expedited shipping, which they ignored and sent at their convenience days later. It was NOT shipped promptly. I had asked customer service about the item before ordering and was assured it was a long TUNIC, as pictured. What they sent me was a cropped top with different sleeves and coloration. The top barely came to the belly button! They did not respond to my return request and request for a label. I shipped the item back to the seller the next day, with all tags and paperwork attached, and in the same package, at my own expense. I sent it to the address for returns that they list on their site. I then filed a Paypal claim to get my refund. Today the seller contacted me directly which is not allowed, and told me I could NOT have a refund, and to drop my Paypal claim! Seriously??? This is exactly why I filed one. I did NOT respond, of course. have tracked the return, and they will have it today. Hoping to get my refund from Paypal. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. The items sent often do not look at all like those pictured and their customer service is non-existent!
