Unless you’ve been without internet access for the past week, you are probably well-aware that early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has begun. Today I’m sharing what I bought in the Nordstrom Sale and why, so you can get an idea of what I thought were the best deals + the most essential items for fall/winter season.

As a refresher,  anyone who has a Nordstrom card has been able to shop these amazing mark downs on brand new fall must-have items since last Thursday, but public access to the sale will begin this Friday, July 22nd. So whether you shop it now or bookmark it for later, here’s a round-up of the items that made it in my shopping bag from the #Nsale.

BLANKET SCARF

I absolutely love the blanket scarf trend because the scarves come so oversized that they’re easy to wear in so many ways. You can also pair them with everything from dresses to button-ups to sweaters. The one that I scooped up from the sale came in the most versatile plaid print and is under $19. Such a steal!

CUTE CROSSBODY

Crossbody bags are essential for all-year round in my opinion because when you’r eon-the-go, you need a purse that does the same. This leopard crossbody was actually the first thing I put n my cart because leopard is my fave print (and is a neutral in my book), and I love that it’s perfectly sized to carry everything you’ll need. Also, it comes in under $150 in the sale and comes in a solid black version if you prefer solids. Not so bad!

FRESH KICKS

I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with these Nike sneakers. Not only do they feature the most feminine floral print, but they’re also in my favorite color, ice blue, and they seriously feel like you’re walking on air when you wear them. They’re like a jazz shoe meets tennis shoe and I love them! They also come in a black and white floral print if you’re a neutrals girl.

LACE UP PUMPS

The lace up trend is continuing into the fall thanks to amazing pumps like these and I’m so excited about it! The lace up detail adds such a fun twist to a classic pump and can easily take you from work to weekend. This pair is under $80 in the sale and also comes in an oxblood and black version.

UTILITY VEST

My favorite thing about fall and winter fashion is layering, and having a utility jacket like this in one of my fave colors for fall – military green, allows for endless layering opportunities. This vest is under $40 in the sale and it’s an absolute must-have.

PEEP-TOE BOOTIES

You’ll notice that I’ve bought a lot of boots in the Nordstrom Sale (4 so far, to be exact) and that’s because this is such an essential item that can get super expensive at full-price. I love the peep toe bootie trend because you can start wearing them in the summer and especially during those not-so-cold fall days in Dallas. This pair is just gorgeous – I love the cognac color and the suede material. They are certain to be worn a few times a week this fall/winter season.

LEATHER JACKET

Disclaimer – this is a faux leather jacket but that wouldn’t fit in my layout, but I absolutely adore this little leather jacket. It comes in the most versatile tan/brown hue and comes in at just $65 in the sale. Such a bargain!

CARRYALL

I love bags this size because you can use them for so many things. Whether a night’s stay at a hotel, as a carryon for the plane or a work bag for your laptop, they offer so much versatility. Since I already have a brown and black one, I opted for grey this time and I loved it even more in person. It’s so chic and structured + comes in under $40! Definitely a must-have and there are also black and brown options in the bag.

LACE UP FLATS

The lace up trend is one of my faves for shoes and animal prints are my jam, so these flats were must-haves for me. They’re sold out in lots of sizes, but I’m hoping they’ll restock some for the public access launch of the sale this Friday, but just in case, here are some other adorable lace up flats in the sale.

TURTLENECK

Turtlenecks are definitely essential for fall/winter, and this wasn’t the only one I purchased in the sale, but it’s my fave. This turtleneck is so versatile because of the color, but I also love that it’s so soft and naturally oversized. It’s just $32 in the sale and comes in 3 other colors.

OTK BOOTS

Another boot trend I love is the over-the-knee boot trend. They instantly elongate your legs and just make you feel fierce. Last year I purchased some black OTK boots so this year I wanted some in grey, and these were just $110 in the sale. They are en route in the mail and I cannot wait to share what they look like on.

RIPPED SKINNIES

Skinny jeans are an absolute essential for fall/winter because they look good with every kind of boot you have, from booties to over-the-knee. I love the ripped/distressed detailing on this pair and they are only $45! For sizing references, they are true to size. I got a size 24 and they are perfectly snug.

RIDING BOOTS

These were my biggest splurge in the sale, but they are totally worth it – $200 off for a brand new pair of Tory Burch boots in the most gorgeous brown hue is a heck of a deal and these babies are oh-so-comfy to walk in too (I gave them a test drive yesterday). They also come in black, which you can shop here.

Stay tuned for more updates on my latest purchases from the Nsale here on the blog and on instagram.
