I know I promised on Tuesday’s post about our pregnancy announcement that I’d follow up on Friday with a first trimester bumpdate, and I apologize for the delay. I had a shoot scheduled Friday morning and I DID set my alarm at 5:00am to complete the post before I left but I was kiiidding myself. I slept right through it (to Cole’s great annoyance) and hardly had time to throw my looks together for the shoot. Ahhh – the whole exhaustion thing is SO REAL during pregnancy, y’all, but more on that later. I’ve rescheduled the bumpdate post to Monday morning and I promise it will be up bright, early and on time for ya! For now, I decided to switch it up and go full-on weekend mode with this outfit post that celebrates one of my pregnancy cravings, pizza, and to talk about all the things I’ve been craving, plus how my body has changed so far since preggercy (this is the term I’ve been using throughout pregnancy, so just go with it).

Click on the read more button below for more about my pregnancy craving and on this fun outfit featuring a gorgeous and oh-so-colorful long sequin skirt I scooped up for just $28!

One of the biggest adjustments to pregnancy has been in my diet. My whole life, I’d never been a breakfast person, and as of the last 10 years, my breakfast has consisted of a cup of coffee and my favorite flavored creamer of the moment (currently: coconut cream). I wasn’t even a  huge snacker. I was more than okay with eating two large meals a day – a big lunch and a really big dinner. That was what worked for me, and what my body was used to. Pregnancy had another thing in store. The nausea that onset around mid-first trimester quickly taught me that meals every 2 hours (and especially as soon as I woke up!) was a must for avoiding the nasty symptom, and when the nausea let up, my incredibly increased appetite kept the trend going. I always told myself that I would aim to eat the most nutritious of foods during pregnancy, and while I do try, I tend to crave the not-so-healthy.  More specifically speaking, CARBS. Up until the last couple of weeks, it became my main food group. Here’s a list of the things I’ve craved so far in pregnancy.

My Pregnancy Cravings Weeks 1-15
  1. 1. Jimmy Johns Sandwiches (I think I counted order #17 this weekend since pregnancy)
  2. 2. Pizza – mostly pepperoni
  3. 3. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
  4. 4. Annie’s Shells and White Cheddar (macaroni)
  5. 5. Cinnamon and Raisin Bagels with Strawberry Cream Cheese
  6. 6. Oranges
  7. 7. Strawberry Greek Yogurt with Almonds
  8. 8. Natural Fruit Popsicles
  9. 9. Neapolitan Ice Cream (With Waffle Cones)
  10. 10. Cheese (Mini Babybell’s and Mozzarella Cheese Sticks)

Fair-well xx,
