As promised earlier this week on my instagram, today I’m sharing this picnic-ready look featuring the most adorable gingham crop top I ever did see. I found this gingham crop top from Kendall and Kylie’s latest Topshop collection and immediately fell in love. From the cute little bow in the front to the pretty, shiny material, I knew it was the perfect statement piece for spring/summer (it actually comes with matching pants you can see here, but I love the idea of pairing it with a pop of color). I absolutely love classic gingham print for the spring/summer seasons, so this promise snot to be the last time I wear it on the blog – I’ve linked more of my favorite gingham pieces at the bottom of this post.
To style the gingham crop top for this post, I wanted to go for a fun and playful look, so I opted for this full maxi skirt in the prettiest coral hue that I found for just $32.90 (it comes in 4 other pretty hues!) A few words on the full maxi skirt – it has the comfiest elastic waistband that allows you to wear it at the hips or at the waist as I did and the material is almost like spandex – so comfortable! For accessories, I started with my new go-to fringe nude sandals (only $53 y’all!) and then added another playful punch with this adorable watermelon clutch (found a similar one here!)
As I mentioned yesterday on instagram, turquoise is absolutely my favorite color when it comes to jewelry because it goes with so much, including this outfit. I added one more bright color with these gorgeous turquoise tassel earrings from White Elephant Designs that are 1/3 of the Oscar De La Renta version and come in so many pretty hues. I finished the picnic look with a striped straw sunhat and these cute clear sunnies I found for under $10!
Side note – I also paired the crop top with a white high-waist pencil skirt for meetings at #rStheCon last weekend and it was so cute + it would be perfect in the summer time with some high-waist denim cut-offs.
