These hot pink shorty shorts started calling my name the moment I saw them. I love the vibrant color + the high waist fit and side pocket details. The material is also versatile enough to dress down with a tee and flats or dress up with What’s even better? They’re only $50 so they won’t break the bank.

To style the hot pink shorts for this post, I wanted to go with a more dressed up look that could be worn for a weekend brunch or lunch date. I started with this J. Crew button up that features the cutest embroidered sleeve detail. I love that the classic white and blue stripes make the shirt versatile to wear with so many things, but the emerald scalloped detail adds a fun and unexpected twist. I’ve always loved navy and pink together and the two pieces totally worked.

As I mentioned before, I love a good pattern mix-up. I wasn’t sure about the bold stripes of this blazer (just $28 y’all!) working with the stripes of the button up, but I loved the way they looked together.

Since my clothing had a lot going on with bright color and patterns, I opted for neutral-ish accessories. This navy crossbody bag by Rebecca Minkoff (okay, not a neutral, but almost!) was the perfect place to start. This bag is from her holiday collection, but it can definitely transition to spring when paired with bright colors like the one sin this look. I topped the outfit off with my new go-to pearl earrings by BaubleBar and some taupe open toe booties.
