First things first, let’s talk about this amazing palm leaf midi skirt. This skirt was handmade by an incredibly talented teenager (yes, you heard that right!) named Hannah Everly. I was impressed right away with the designs on her Etsy site, but when the skirt arrived in the mail, I was even more blown away. The quality of the thick, structured fabric along with the detail of the pleated, pockets and silhouette was truly amazing, especially given the price point of just $54. I was so impressed by the talent of this young designer. You can shop all of her beautiful skirt designs for yourself here!

One might think that a palm print is reserved strictly for the summer months given the tropical nature, but this skirt proves that theory wrong. Palm print has become almost a neutral print of sorts in the last few years, showing up in wallpaper, throw pillows and more. A skirt made from thick, structured material such as this one is completely appropriate for fall/winter months. One of the things I love about palm prints is that they can pair with so many colors and even patterns like I did in the look I”m featuring today. From yellow, hot pink and red to leopard print and stripes, there are endless ways to style the print, so naturally I went for one of the boldest ways to wear the print, by pairing it with another print.

This striped top (similar here) was the perfect match to create a bold fall look with the palm leaf midi skirt. Whether in an outfit or in interiors, this pattern mixing just works, no matter the season. I finished the top and skirt pairing with a gold embellished black leather belt. This beauty is by Raina Belts – an LA-based company that hand makes leather belts with signature buckles. It was the perfect way to dress up the outfit a bit more. To add another color pop, I opted for a color that complements both palm print and black & white stripes – bright red. This Kate Spade bow-topped crossbody bag is on sale for 50% off and is the perfect way to add a girly pop of color to your look. I finished it off by continuing the red color story with these $35 lace up red pumps from Modcloth.

I just love this outfit for a special day event like a fancy brunch with the girls or a shower.
