Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so today I’m sharing a flirty date night outfit that features the traditional holiday colors (which also happen to be one of my fave color combos!) – red and pink! This hot pink pleated midi skirt had my name all over it (and the $53 price tag certainly helped!) so I was so excited to style it here on the blog, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect backdrop than a fun and colorful local carnival.

Last week, my amazing photographer Angie of Angie Garcia Photography had the brilliant idea of shooting at a carnival that was happening in the Fort Worth area. As a Disney parks fanatic, I would be tickled pink to be able to regularly shoot at the parks, but since I’m not a California or Florida resident, this carnival was the closest I could get, and I’m obsessed with how all of the photos came out (stay tuned for more!)

As I mentioned, pink and red has always been a favorite color combo of mine (evidence here!) so I simply had to put together a pink and red outfit to celebrate Valentine’s Day. As a girl who regularly incorporates bright colors into her outfits, I always like to pick out a few pieces each season in vibrant, bright hues or patterns to give my wardrobe staples a boost. One of my go-to places for finding such pieces is ASOS, not only because of their vast, unique selection, but also because of their incredible price points! This hot pink satin skirt was just $53, and I’ve already worn it three times with different tops since buying it less than a month ago.

To style the skirt for this outfit, I knew I wanted something red, so a simple off the shoulder red top (similar here) I had from last spring paired perfectly. The weather in Texas is so unpredictable in February (it was 80 degrees a couple of days ago and today it’s back in the 40’s!) so having a coat on hand is always necessary. This stunning faux fur tweed jacket was just dressy enough for date night, and it happens to be on sale right now for only $36!

To accessorize, I wanted to continue the red and pink Valentine’s theme, so this adorable red lips clutch was the perfect pop to continue the theme. I topped the outfit off with a bit of sparkle in these gorgeous hot pink sparkly earrings from The Happiness Boutique.
