Today I’m strutting into the first full week of October (the month where we have days that actually start to feel like fall in Dallas!) to bring you this fall outfit featuring the most darling little pleated sweater dress and more from my friends at Modcloth. Known for their online assortment of assortment of fun, colorful clothing, accessories and home decor with just the right touch of vintage and whimsy, it’s easy to see why ModCloth is a go-to for me when looking for a piece that has that extra special touch.

First of all, let’s talk a little more about Modcloth. The two words that come to mind when describing their unique line of clothing are fun and feminine. And the apparel truly is unique – their line of clothing is exclusive to ModCloth, so you won’t find it anywhere else. I also love their prices – while each piece is made with the highest quality, from the fabric to every little detail (just look at the heart detail on the coat – SO sweet!), most pieces are under $100. I love the brand so much, that I’ve picked out a few more of my favorites from their latest fall collection for you to shop below.

Now back to the outfit I’m styling today. You know this girl loves pleats, stripes and color, so when I spotted this dress that merged all three of my fashion loves, I swooned. I absolutely love the unique, drop waist silhouette of the dress and the thick, quarter-sleeve sweater material makes it perfect for early fall. I also adore the preppy, school girl uniform vibes the dress carries. What’s even better? The dress comes in under $75 – such a steal!

To style the dress, I started with these gorgeous lace up red suede pumps. I love that the heel isn’t mega high in these pumps, so they’re appropriate enough for the office but flirty enough for date night. Also, they’re only $39 – and they’re not even marked down! AMAZING!

Next up, I wanted to find a fun peacoat to pair with the dress because believe it or not, it does actually get cold in the next couple of months here in Texas. Mustard yellow was the perfect color to really pop against the red and blue shades of the dress, so this beautiful peacoat was a match made in heaven. I already mentioned the darling little heart details in this peacoat, but it also features a cute hood in the back for those super chilly or rainy days and sweet little front pockets plus it’s lined with a satiny navy fabric that feels so cozy!

Last, I needed a bag to top the look off with. Perhaps it’s the fact that clothes tend to be bigger and bulkier in fall and winter, but I always prefer my bags a little larger during the colder months. This three-tone carryall from ModCloth is perfect not just for this outfit, but for practically every fall/winter outfit in my closet. This bag rings up at just $65 – another amazing deal!

Stay tuned for more fall and winter outfit ideas coming up on the blog!
