After a few days into the official start of fall, I think I’m finally starting to accept that summer is over. As a nod to the start of the new season, today I’m teaming up with my friends at Nordstrom to bring you another fall denim look, featuring my new favorite pair of ripped skinny jeans.
Click through to find out why these $80 jeans are must-haves this season and find out more about the trends I’m most excited for this fall.
Okay so first things first – let’s talk about fall denim. Earlier this month, I talked about why destroyed boyfriend jeans were a must for the season and today I’m going to let you in on another must-have denim staple – ripped skinny jeans. Clearly the whole ripped and destroyed thing is big time this season, whether you’re rocking your baggies or skinnies. Skinny jeans are always such a great staple to have because they are so easy to dress up but can also be casual enough to pair with your favorite sneakers. Nordstrom has an abundance of ripped skinnies in every wash and price point you can imagine. You can shop more of my favorite ripped skinny jeans below and all of Nordstrom’s selection of ripped skinnies here.

Now onto how I chose to style this fall look. You know this girl is all about color and while hues tend to be a little less saturated and bright in the fall, that certainly doesn’t mean you have to say so long to all of your brights. PANTONE’s Fall 2016 color report boasted more than a few non-neutral hues, including Aurora Red, a splashy red-meets-coral hue that this darling little peplum top happened to come in, so I had to put it in my cart. I loved the top even more in person when it arrived because f the unique silhouette. It features a low back with a tuxedo-like split panel and has a wired built in bra + it is totally flattering because it gives you that hour glass silhouette. I may have to get it in black too!
Besides the exciting colors that are trending this fall, there are a few more trends I’m super excited about, starting with the bomber jacket trend. I love the edgy-meets-preppy vibes that bombers give off because they’re part jock/varsity jacket part cool girl and they’re the perfect lightweight option for the first months off all. This little cross stitch olive bomber is just $65 and since olive is pretty much a neutral to fall, you’re sure to get lots of use out of it!
Another trend I absolutely love is the choker trend and for fall/winter – the more sparkle and jewels the better (and I looove a little sparkle!) This choker by BaubleBar is just stunning and adds the perfect statement to any look.
Stay tuned for more fall outfit ideas and my favorite trends for the season!
