SPRING ESSENTIALS

SPRING-ESSENTIALS-VANDI-FAIR

Although the weather around the country doesn’t seem to be cooperating (thoughts and prayers to those in the Northeast still stuck ins now), spring has arrived. If you’re anything like me, that means a few new pieces are needed to make your wardrobe ready for the warmer days. In case you’re looking for inspiration, I’ve put together a list of my own personal must-haves for the season. Happy spring!

SOMETHING GINGHAM – Fall/Winter’s plaid craze has been replaced by the simpler, softer lines of gingham, and I’m loving it. This ruffled, gingham top just begs for a spring picnic in the park.

SHEER SKIRT OR DRESS – Sheer has been in for a few seasons, but for spring, try it as an overlay o a dress or skirt. I’m loving this cotton candy pink number from Asos – just long enough for a date, but sassy enough for a night out on the town.

SUNNIES WITH COLORED LENSES – Forget the reflective sunnies of last spring/summer, this season, snag a pair with colored lenses like these tortoise shell sunnies with pretty blue lenses.

EARRINGS THAT ‘GOT BACK – I’m loving the edginess that this unique earring trend brings, but I’m even more excited about versions that are a little more girly like these from Kendra Scott.

TASSEL NECKLACE – Okay, anything and everything with a tassel is a yes for spring, but the versatility that a tassel necklace like this one provides makes it a must-have on my list.

SOMETHING POWDER BLUE – Cinderella’s signature color is everywhere this season, and I’m certainly not complaining. While this color has already inundated my wardrobe in many ways, these gorgeous powder blue pumps are next on my list.

NUDE/ROSE NAIL POLISH – Nude is the go-to polish trend of the season (it looks gorg on every skin tone), but I’m especially loving the rose/nude versions.

BLUE DIAL WATCH – Whether turquoise or navy, watch dials have the blues this season. I especially love this one (which I already own) from Michael Kors. I got it at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year, but it’s made its way into the full line this year.

DRESS WITH CUT OUTS – Cut outs and illusion netting are a big trend in all dress types this season, I especially love when it’s down around the sleeves are collar area like this red number.

BUCKET BAG – The bucket bag is the perfect size for an everyday bag, and isn’t too heavy to carry. It’s a definite must on my list.

ONE-PIECE WONDER – Once reserved for school trips and church camps, the two-piece swimsuit is making its comeback and I personally love it! This one by Zinke is so adorable and all you’d need for a coverup is a pair of shorts!

CHUNKY HEELS – 70’s style chunky heels are the statement shoes of spring, and I especially love this black pair from Asos.

KITSCHY CROSSBODY – It’s no surprise that I’m a fan of the kitschy trend when it’s done tastefully, and this crossbody donut bag is simply delicious.

BOYFRIEND JEANS – Word on the street is that skinny jeans are out, and while I certainly won’t be tossing mine anytime soon, I’m going to be adding a few other denim options to the mix this season. If you haven’t already, snag a good pair of boyfriend jeans like this to try, or if you dare, try out the latest in denim trends: bell bottoms.
