Gingham is a huge trend for Spring 2017 and I’m loving it! Traditionally saved for classic, preppy styles, gingham has grown up this season, showing up in everything from trendy tops, like the $18 one I’m styling today, to designer handbags. What I’m especially loving about the print this season is that there’s something for everyone, from the ultra edgy to the super girly.

Being on the preppy-ish side myself, I’ve always been a fan gingham for spring, so I was especially excited to see the print brand out of it’s usual collared shirts and picnic blankets status and right into the trendy fashionsphere. With that said, this isn’t my first and it definitely won’t be my last outfit post featuring gingham print, but the one gingham item everyone must have is the contemporary gingham top, which is why I’m styling this top today.

What I love about the gingham print top, especially in traditional black and white, is that it’s so versatile and it doesn’t need many accessories to make a statement. From off the shoulder to wrap around tops, there are so many unique tops you can find in the classic print this season. I linked to lots more for you to shop at the top and bottom of this post. The $18 bubble sleeve bow top I’m wearing today could easily be worn with a dress skirt for the office or skinny jeans for a casual weekend look, but today, I dressed it up for a date night with strappy sandals and a white denim mini skirt (which is another must-have item this spring!)

As I said before, a fancy gingham top like this doesn’t need much when it comes to accessories, so I opted for my go-to imitation pearl drop earrings from BaubleBar to give it a sophisticated feel. I added a playful touch with this fun lipstick crossbody clutch, and matched it up with my own bright red lip stain. The strappy black Chanel sandals (similar) added just the right amount of polish to the outfit.

Stay tuned for more outfit ideas featuring my fave print for spring, gingham!

OH Love the dree. I wish I could have seen this earlier.
My friend a hardcore gamer but I want her to look cool was also a bit of trouble with personalized gifts this year. Living in the South, it is x-box this and x-box that and I feel like people pretty much already have everything they would ever want x-box. so I gave him the x-box. But he likes the character Minecraft. so personalize his x-box with this. and he is the happiest. Life is so full of unpredictable beauty and strange surprises. Sometimes that beauty is too much for me to handle. Do you know that feeling? When something is just too beautiful? When someone says something or writes something or plays something that moves you to the point of tears, maybe even changes you.
