To celebrate the last day of the hottest month of the year, I wanted to share this bikini by Triangl Swimwear, which has quickly become my new favorite.  Not only does the vibrant turquoise color look fabulous on any skin tone (mine hasn’t seen much of the sun this summer), but it’s also made of a super durable, comfortable fabric commonly used in wetsuits called neoprene.  I especially love the silhouette of the top with the contrasting black lining.  If turquoise isn’t your go-to hue, Triangl has this style and more in a myriad of gorgeous colors!

Although I did this shoot at my parent’s pool, I styled it with items I would wear to a beach or lake.  I love the idea of using everyday clothing items as swim coverups, and kimonos happen to double perfectly as just that.  This black lace one with fringe went perfectly with my new black lined Triangl bikini.  Since I haven’t spent much time sun bathing this summer, I paired both sunglasses and a large floppy hat for extra protection.  Accessorizing with jewelry is always a challenge with swimwear, but I simply couldn’t go without it.  This tiny necklace and ring by Kendra Scott would have to come off before a dip in the water, but they were the perfect dash of sparkle for this look.

To get my beach waves, I let my hair air-dry (which gives it a bit of a natural frizz), then divided my hair up into about 5 sections and used the barrel of a medium size curling iron to wrap the large chunks around. For my fine hair, the process took no more than 10 minutes.  Braids are the perfect way to keep your hair of of your face when you’re in the sun, so  I french braided a tiny part of the front of my hair to tame a bit of it.

Side note – how adorable is this giant sea turtle floatie?!  And bonus – it’s the perfect size for laying out!

Fair-well xx,
