Winter is coming. Apologies up front for the over-used Game of Thrones reference but I just became a fan (and watched all six seasons) this year, so it’s the first winter I can use it! It’s certainly no secret that winter is coming for us folks in Dallas (it’s been so cold all week!) and today I’m partnering up with Nordstrom to bring you a winter weather-ready outfit that’s as cozy as it is chic featuring four winter essentials on my must list.

 1. Rain Boots

  1. I may not live in a winter weather or even rainy city, but I love rain boots. When I saw these gorgeous classic Hunter Original Rain Boots in the prettiest glossy pink, I immediately put them in my shopping cart. In my dream world, I’d have rain boots in every color (next on my list: this turquoise pair, also by Hunter), and thankfully, Nordstrom has an endless supply of Rain boots in every color and at various price points so I can make my rain boot dreams come true. I love the way rain boots look with jeans or leggings, and that they’re so easy and comfortable to put on.  I also love that they can be worn throughout most of the year, even for us Southerners who don’t have a very long fall or winter season. For rainy spring days, you can pop them on with a dress and on cold winter days, you can keep warm with a pair of boot socks (the fleece ones I’m wearing keep your feet so snuggly and warm!)

 2. Sweaters

This really should have been number one. I’m a sweater addict, y’all. My little sister (who is now officially my blog assistant!) was perusing my closet recently and commented on the ridiculous amount I have, but I simply need one in every color! I love the baby blue color of the sweater I’m styling today and the price too – just $39! It comes in XXS, XS and S sizes, so for references, I’m wearing a size small. Nordstrom also has every shape, size and color of sweater my little heart could dream of for amazing prices! Sweaters are such a huge winter essential to me that I’ve rounded up more of my fave sweaters under $100 from Nordstrom for you to shop below.

3. Puffer Vests

I love layering, and while we’ve been accustom to it throughout fall, winter calls for heavier layering materials such as puffer vests like the one I’m wearing today. What I really love about this one is that it has a  removable faux fur hood so on not-so-cold winter days you can go with out it. I also love the bright white color + the fact that it’s 25% off certainly doesn’t hurt. You can shop more puffer vests from Nordstrom here.

 4. Winter Weather Accessories

We’ve had our blanket scarves out of the closet for months, but winter requires additional accessories such as ear muffs, beanies and heavier knits. I absolutely love this fun pair of pink fuzzy earmuffs (similar here). Shop more winter accessories from my go-to stop, Nordstrom, here.

There you have it! My four essentials to be prepared when winter comes. Stay tuned for more winter outfit ideas as the new season approaches.

Fair-well xx,

**Thanks so much to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
