My 2018 Nordstrom Sale Purchases

Happy Monday friends!! As you well know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to the public (hooray!!) With all of the incredible items on sale, it can be a little intimidating to shop, so I wanted to put together a little post to show the items I purchased in this year’s sale. In case you’re unfamiliar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (or N Sale, for short), this is a unique and amazing annual sale that the store puts on every year in July, discounting brand new fall must-have items before they go back to full price. It’s the only sale I know of where you can score mega discount son brand new items before the season even arrives!! You won’t see these kinds of deals again until Black Friday, so it’s the perfect time to scoop up fall and winter necessities like boots, bags, jeans, sweaters and more. In previous years, I’ve been all over the Nordstrom Sale madness, with tons of posts and round ups during both the early access portion for Nordstrom card holders and the public access, but baby girl had me shifting my priorities a bit this year (sorry y’all!). But I still wanted to do at least one post to show the items that ended up in my shopping cart this year (all non-maternity, but mostly bump-friendly since baby girl will be here before I can wear these items in real life!)

My favorite thing to buy in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale would easily be boots and fall shoes. With mark downs up to 40% off the newest styles from the best shoe brands out there, you simply can’t beat these deals! I think I bought around 8 pairs this year, and I styled about 4 here on this blog post (be sure to follow me on IG to see them all!) To start, I knew I wanted a pair of statement making leopard booties, so when I spotted these under $100, I instantly added them to my cart. I love the pointed toe that makes them dressy enough to pop on with your fave fall dresses but still casual enough to wear with jeans.

I also usually buy a pair or two of jeans in the sale. Knowing I’ll be rocking a postpartum bod in early fall and will be spending a lot of time in chill, casual outfits, I knew boyfriend jeans would be a must-have so I loved this pair by Levi’s that I found in the sale (currently sold out, but hoping they’ll restock!)

I also always scoop up a few basic tees and tops in the sale too, like this ultra-cozy peplum tee that comes in several colors.

Probably my second favorite thing to buy in the Nordstrom sale is cardigans. Although they’re sold as a fall/winter staples, everyone knows that cardigans are a year-round must-have (because restaurants and grocery stores are ALWAYS so cold!!) and you can never have too many. I absolutely loved this thicker woven cardigan I found in the sale and have a feeling I’ll be living in it come November.

Long sleeve dresses are always a great buy for the earlier days of fall when it’s too warm for sweaters. I loved this floral one that I found (which also happens to be bump-friendly, thanks to the wrap fit). Another pair of booties I scooped up that I love are these Marc Fischer beauties in white. White booties were at the top of my list this year and I loved the shape of these. A tip though, be sure to order one whole size up because they do run small (and this mama-to-be couldn’t even get the suckers on no thanks to swelling too).

As I mentioned, I love getting basic tops in the sale, like this amazing cozy thermal I found for just $31! I love that it’s fitted in the arms but is loose and flowy everywhere else. Perfectly bump-friendly, postpartum-friendly, and post-Thanksgiving turkey friendly! I think I’m going to get it in all colors.

Here’s another basic top I got from the sale. Blame it on the pregnancy brain, but I totally forgot to shoot the back of this top, which is the coolest part…it has the cutest little knotted back so you can show off your cozy bralettes (or in my case, your fancy nursing bras…lol).

Every gal needs at least one pair of statement booties and I simply couldn’t resist this amazing pair of metallic pink booties.  They’re the perfect way to add a little pizzaz to your fall/winter looks, whether dressing up a casual white tee like I did or to add to a sassy outfit for girl’s night out. They’re $50 off right now in the sale!!

This easy breezy little knitted dress is one of my favorite finds from the sale because of how flattering and cozy it is (even with a bumpie!) I love the stretchy, soft material of the dress and the wrap fit gives your legs a little extra length too. I was also so excited to find over the knee boots for under $100 in the sale! This amazingly-soft cardigan is one that I know I’ll wear all throughout the year, I absolutely love the pretty aqua color.
