If you follow me on instagram, you may have gotten a peek at the amazing early spring getaway I got to attend with some fellow blogger babes at the gorgeous Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa in Miramar Beach, Florida. After lots of rainy, cold winter days in Dallas, it was the perfect time to escape somewhere beautiful, warm, and just a 2 hour flight away. From the stunning white sand beaches and the watercolor ocean sunsets to the incredible cuisine and the amazing Serenity Spa, we got the full resort experience, and I’m sharing all the details right here on the blog, along with all of the outfits I wore during the trip (just in case you have an upcoming beach vacay you need a few extra things for).

As you can see in the above photo (which was taken from my balcony), the Hilton Sandestin is a resort that’s located right on the white sand beaches of Miramar Beach, and the views are STUNNING. I was also delighted at how beautiful the drive was as we winded through lush palm trees, gardens and green gold courses to arrive at the hotel entrance.
The Rooms
Upon arriving at our three-night stay at the gorgeous Hilton Sandestin, we were welcomed to our guest rooms. I was so excited and surprised to find that I had a whole family suite with a king to myself (and boy did I enjoy sprawling out in the bed every night…as much as I did miss Cole and our fur babies). I loved the calming blue and white tones of the rooms and the bunk beds were SO adorable (gonna have to bring Cole and baby girl back in a few years!) I also loved how spacious the bathroom area was. There were two vanities – one enclosed with the shower and toilet and one on the outside so two people could easily get ready at the same time.
What To Do At The Resort
1 – Enjoy Some Pool Time
After we enjoyed some downtime in our rooms, we got a full resort tour. I loved that the resort had both an indoor pool and two huge outdoor pools, so there were plenty of options and lots of space to enjoy! There were also indoor and outdoor hot tubs, which lots of the gals got to indulge in since it was a little chilly during our stay (this preggers girl had to sit it out though).
2 – Watch The Sunset
We also got to see our first sunset, and I was completely mesmerized by the gorgeous rainbow of watercolors that appeared over the ocean. Definitely one of the perks to visiting a Florida beach on the gulf side…sunsets over the ocean – just breath-taking!!
3 – Grab a Refreshment
The Hilton Sandestin features a large outdoor bar and casual dining restaurant, Barefoot Beachside Bar and Grill, so you can grab a refreshment and enjoy it poolside or on the beach (mine was a virgin pina colada…and it was so yummy!) We also got to have lunch here on the last day and it was so delicious (I got the chicken Caesar salad and it was as fresh and crunchy as it gets!)
4 – Book a Massage at the Serenity Spa
The Serenity Spa at the Hilton Sandestin is absolutely stunning! We actually got to come here for 6:30 am yoga (which was surprisingly refreshing, even for this non-morning person) and then again for our individual appointments. I cannot even tell you how incredible this massage was. It was the first I’ve gotten since being pregnant and I felt so relaxed, I dozed off.
5 – Enjoy The Beach
If you like beaches with pristine, white sand and crystal clear turquoise water (and who doesn’t?), then you’ll want to visit Miramar beach. There was no seaweed at all and there weren’t even any seashells (which my nerdy seashell collector side was sad about but my toes and feet were so happy!), just clean, gorgeous sand! The group of six other bloggers as well as our hosts Sarah and Angela were all SO much fun to hang out with and get to know! There were fellow Texas babes Ashlee from Little Lovelies, Amanda from The Miller Affect, and Carrie from Carrie Colbert, along with Atlanta babes Erica from Eating with Erica,
Jordan from Jordan Berecz and Sabrina, Simply Sabrina. It’s always so fun to get to connect with other women in the blogging world and each of these girls were SO amazing and made the trip one I’ll never forget!
6 – Finish Your Day With a Beachside Campfire
On one of our evenings after dinner, the hotel had set up a little campfire on the beach, complete with smores kits. It was so relaxing to hear the crackling of fire and the sound of the ocean waves rolling in as we enjoyed some girl talk before dinner.
What To Do Locally
1 – Grab Ice Cream at Blue Mountain Beach Creamery
Since there were so many things to do at the hotel, we really didn’t even have to leave much for our daily activities. The one time we did venture out, we stopped at the cutest (and most picture-worthy) little ice creamery. It’s really close to the resort, so if you’re itching to venture out, it’s the perfect stop to take the kids for an afternoon treat or for after dinner dessert.
2 – Make Your Own Souvenirs at The Shard Shop
This was one of my favorite activities we did during the trip. Also not far from the resort, you’ll find the Shard Shop, nestled amongst dozens of colorful shops and restaurants. Using recycled glass in every color you can dream up, you can make your own artwork to take home at The Shard Shop. We all had SO much fun creating our unique pieces!! Before we started, we got a little tour of the building so we could see artwork by others (AKA the professionals) and get a little inspiration for ourselves. Next up, they gave us dozens of stencils to choose from, and we got started working on our art! I actually started with a mermaid stencil which I planned to put in the nursery, but I wasn’t crazy about how it was looking, so at the last minute I decided to draw the first letter of her name instead. Hint hint! Getting to break the glass and work with it to create beautiful art was strangely satisfying and therapeutic and I cannot wait to put it up in our baby girl’s nursery.
3 – Chill Out With a Snow Cone
JUst a few steps from the resort on the beach, you’ll find the cutest little snow cone stand, in case you love snow cones as much as I do. It’s the perfect sweet treat to keep you cool on a hot beach day.
Where to Eat
Believe it or not, there were so many dining options at the Hilton Sandestin that we actually ate every meal there. Being 18 weeks pregnant at the time and starving, I also tried out their room service a few times and it did not disappoint. Below are my fave spots that we ate at the resort.
1 – Hadashi Sushi
On one of the evenings, we were treated to the most delicious and fresh sushi at Hadashi Sushi located inside the Hilton Sandestin. I only got to try the cooked sushi (which there was plenty of!), but it all looked SO delicious and every bite I had was more delicious than the next. Being from Dallas, we don’t usually get sushi this fresh and if you can’t tell, I kind of really miss eating sushi while pregnant, so I absolutely loved this meal!!
2 – Seagar’s
I simply cannot say enough good things about this amazing restaurant. This is a fine dining restaurant connected to the hHilton Sandestin, and whether you’re staying at the Hilton or are just visiting the are, I absolutely recommend this restaurant. At this New York style steakhouse, we got to enjoy 4 courses of incredible food. What you see above are my two favorites from what we ate (and rarely is a dessert on my favorites list, but it was just that good). The jumbo lump crab, tomato and egg plant Napoleon appetizer dish that you se above was absolutely divine and the dessert was some kind of souffle special that you absolutely must ask about and order.
As you can see, we all had such an incredibly relaxing time at this three-night girl’s trip to the Hilton Sandestin. I absolutely recommend this amazing resort if you’re ever planning to vacation in Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast.
