As promised, I’m back with another blog post on my trip earlier this year to the hidden gem of the Caribbean – the beautiful island of Nevis in the West Indies. In case you missed my Nevis Travel Guide, click here to find out why this island should absolutely be a must on your travel bucket list (if it isn’t already). While putting together my Nevis travel guide, I realized I had way too much content to pack into one post, so I decided to do a follow up blog post focusing specifically on the amazing Nevis resorts and hotels we got to experience during our stay. With it being such a tiny island, there aren’t an overwhelming amount of hotel options to begin with, but each of them offers something so unique and unlike anything else you’ll experience anywhere else in the Caribbean. We got to experience and/or see three of them in person, and I’m breaking them all down for ya here on the blog so you can choose what’s best for you when you plan your Nevis adventure. Whether you’re looking five-star resort on the Caribbean Sea, a cozy, historic hotel with local flair on the Atlantic Ocean or a private oasis hidden in the mountains, there are so many unique experiences to enjoy at Nevis hotels.
Click through to read about my recommendations on the best hotels in Nevis, complete with prices, photos and what I loved most about each (and make sure you scroll to the end because I saved my favorite property for last).
1 – Four Seasons Nevis
My number one Nevis hotel recommendation is the Four Seasons Nevis. We didn’t actually get to stay here, but we did get to enjoy a full day at the Four Seasons Nevis, complete with spa services, a full grounds tour, a beach cabana, drinks on the pier and dinner at Esquilina. This is the priciest option on my list, but it’s totally worth it. This option is best for honeymooners or families with little ones who want a vacation where you don’t have to leave the resort, but you can still fully enjoy the island of Nevis. The property is absolutely STUNNING (I’ve heard some say it’s their favorite Four Seasons resort in the world). It sits on Pinney’s Beach, with stunning views of Nevis Peak centered right behind the resort (as you can see in the above photo taken off the Four Seasons pier). You can play golf on their 18 hole course, where blue vervet monkeys are known to join in on the fun or enjoy one of their many pools overlooking the beach (which are currently being renovated so I’m sure they will be even more amazing once complete!) Although their restaurants incorporate authentic Caribbean cuisine, you can even walk to many local restaurants and bars to get a taste of the local faire. This is truly one of the most beautiful properties I’ve ever experiences, with so much to see and do. It’s definitely the spot where I plan to take Cole and Everly when we go on our family trip to Nevis.
PRICE
On average, rooms at Four Seasons Nevis start around $360.
Four Seasons – The Property
The entire Four Seasons property is just stunning from every corner, with gorgeous views of both the ocean and Nevis Peak, all surrounded by lush flora and fauna. I really loved the decor of the property too, and the way the rooms feel like little private villas, each with its own balcony to the ocean or overlooking Nevis Peak. During our property tour of Four Seasons Nevis, we didn’t get to see inside the actual rooms (although there are plenty to see here on their site), but we did get to tour many of the private residences that are available to rent during your stay (seen in the first two photos above) and they were AMAZING!! If I could plan a dream trip, I’d love to stay in one of their private homes, each of which has access to all of the Four Seasons amenities. This would be a great option for a large family gathering, and actually wouldn’t be too crazy expensive if split between multiple families.
Four Seasons – The Spa
The Four Seasons Nevis spa is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever experienced. We each got to experience a 60 minute Swedish massage and had access to spa amenities all day and it was heavenly. I love that the amenities are mostly located outdoors, surrounded by the gardens and with views of Nevis Peek. It feels like you’re in a tropical oasis and you enjoy their hot tub or cold pool, surrounded by the colorfully painted gingerbread houses that house the individual treatment rooms. The spa is definitely not to miss if you stay at Four Seasons Nevis.
Four Seasons – The Beach
The pools were absolutely stunning and as I previously mentioned, they’re currently getting a makeover, so although I can’t imagine them being more beautiful, I’m certain they will. We got to enjoy a private beachside cabana during our day at Four Seasons Nevis and it was so lovely. The covered cabana came with a refrigerator filled with refreshments and we had access to a

Four Seasons – Dining
We got to experience a couple different dining options at the Four Seasons Nevis, starting with our lunches we ordered at the cabana and then with dinner at Esquilina. Not surprisingly, the food was so delicious…we ordered some fresh salads and frozen beverages at lunch and they were divine and then were treated to a multi-course meal at the new restaurant Esquilina. During our property tour, we saw fisherman pulling their boat in and carrying fish to the resort, so I can promise you, the food is as fresh as ever.
2 – Nisbet Plantation Beach Club
Nisbet Plantation was the host hotel where we stayed during our four nights in Nevis. This is the Caribbean’s only historic plantation inn and is perfect for those looking for an intimate and truly local experience in Nisbet. The vibrant yellow cottage style rooms and lush palm trees speckle the vast green lawn, leading right up to the resort’s private beach. The Main House, built in 1778, still stands at the center, where you can enjoy delicious local, gourmet meals for dinner. Upon checking in, each guest receives a complimentary drink, a Nevis local favorite featuring Tang and Rum!
PRICE
Currently you can find rates around $170 per night, but they go up to $350, depending on the season.
Nisbet Plantation – The Rooms
What I really loved about the Nisbet is how our rooms each felt like private little yellow villas speckled across the vast ground of the inn. In fact, the first night, I got lost walking back trying to find my room. Nisbet fully embraces the laid back, Caribbean lifestyle, with no televisions in the rooms and glassless windows with shutters so you can bring in the light, sounds and smells of the ocean air whenever you please. The look and feel of the rooms is laid back with Caribbean charm and is perfectly cozy for a couple looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Nisbet Plantation – The Pool
Nisbet has one pool and hot tub which sits up on a dock overlooking the hotel’s private beach. The pool is nice and big and best of all, was never crowded. Coconuts, the breakfast restaurant is also on the sock and overlooks the pool + the beach.
Nisbet Plantation- Dining
The food at Nisbet was perhaps what I loved the most. It was truly amazing, with authentic Nevisian flair with a home-cooked touch. With it being such a small resort, you can tell that every single dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. My favorite meal was the dinner we had in the Great House, the original 18th century building that stands at the center of the Nisbet (the house and the meal I had is pictured above). Breakfast on the beach at Coconuts was always a wonderful way to start the day too.
Nisbet Plantation – The Beach
One of the things that makes the island of Nevis unique is that it borders the Caribbean Sea on the West and the Atlantic Ocean on the East. While Pinney’s Beach at Four Seasons is on the Caribbean Sea, the beach at Nisbet is on the Atlantic, so you’ll find completely different bodies of water, different sand colors and textures and more. Nisbet offers guests beautiful private beach with amazing views of the island, and you can even see St Kitts in the distance. The beach is a bit rocky, but the water is clear and the sand is soft and inviting.
3 – Golden Rock Inn
On our last evening in Nevis, we were treated to a tour and dinner at Golden Rock Inn. I instantly fell in LOVE with this insanely gorgeous boutique resort. Located in the lush green slopes leading up to Nevis Peak, this resort boasts more than a 100 acres of lush gardens, restored by artists Helen and Brice Marden. If you’re looking for a truly beautiful and unique experience in the mountains of Nevis, Golden Rock Inn should absolutely be the place that you stay. With just 11 guest rooms (each its own unique house/unit), a stunning fresh water pool, gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea, and an amazing restaurant, all surrounded by acres of the most breathtaking gardens and wildlife, this is truly a magical, tropical oasis. Although Four Seasons would be the place I’d stay for a family trip, I’m also dying to go back with just Cole so we can stay at Golden Rock Inn. Keep scrolling for more details and photos.
PRICE
What I was especially blown away with was the price (after the tour, we were guessing rooms would run in the $500-$600 per night range!). On average, the rooms are just $210 a night, but the incredible amenities and truly unique/boutique hotel experience is priceless.
Golden Rock Inn – The Rooms
Although we didn’t get to stay at Golden Rock Inn, we did get a full property tour, including some of the rooms (and we were “ohhing” and “ahhing” the whole time!) Above is an example of one of the units at Golden Rock. Each is its own completely unique house, with contemporary furniture and decor inside, all selected by the artists who created the hotel. You can even choose to stay in the room that’s located inside an old sugar mill (a little birdie told us that Anna Wintour used to frequent this particular room, but I trust y’all to keep a secret!) You can see photos of that particular room here on their site. I especially loved this pink unit, which is one of their “hillside rooms”, located in the majestic gardens overlooking Nevis Peak. And the amenities are amazing y’all! Each rooms comes with Le Labo care products (like, what?!), Egyptian cotton sheets, complimentary breakfast each morning and complimentary baked goods at check in.
Golden Rock Inn – The Gardens
What truly makes this hotel stand out are the 40 acres of majestic gardens surrounding the property. It truly feels enchanted, with flora, fauna and trees unlike anything I’ve ever seen. There are paths located all throughout the garden for you to explore. The gardens were created and cultivated by the artists who created the property and you can absolutely tell that an artists touch was a part of the magical gardens.
Golden Rock Inn – The Pool
We also got to see the pool during our tour. It was SO stunning! Located at one of the higher peaks on property, it has amazing views of the island and is surrounded by the lush gardens.
Golden Rock Inn – Dining
We were also lucky enough to enjoy a sunset dinner in the beautiful courtyard restaurant of the property, The Rocks. The food was incredible and everything is locally grown and/or caught. Even if you don’t choose to stay here during your time in Nevis, you MUST plan a dinner here or even go for an afternoon and enjoy drinks as you explore the gardens and enjoy incredible views of Nevis Peak.
That’s all for now. If Nevis wasn’t already on your list, hopefully it is now and you have a better idea of where to stay on the island, depending on the experience you’re looking for. Don’t forget to read my whole Nevis Travel Guide and click here to see all of my travel-related posts!
