It’s been far too long since I gave this little blog some love, but after recovering from the wedding and the honeymoon, I promise to get it back up to speed again, starting with this casual chic look.

I’d be lying if I said I was on board with the boyfriend jeans trend from the get go. I just couldn’t possibly understand how baggy jeans could be flattering on the female figure. Thankfully, after figuring out how to style them, I came around and found a few pairs that I absolutely love, with the pair featured here topping the list. The light wash and distressed detailing in just the right places originally drew me, but the fit sealed the deal. They were just the right amount of baggy, but still decidedly feminine. The comfort and versatility of them have made them my go-to pair since they arrived in my closet.

There are several ways to style boyfriend jeans, but my favorite is by dressing them up with ultra glam pieces, like I did in this outfit. I started with this metallic sequin tank (which is now 40% off!) and added some structure (and warmth) with a striped blazer (I found a similar one for just $35!) I love the look of boyfriend jeans paired with a fierce pair of pumps, so I finished the look with these leopard Sam Edelman pretties (similar pair on sale!)

To accessorize, I started simple by layering my monogram necklace with a small pendant necklace, then opted for some Kendra Scott statement earrings. I added a little more shine with my two-tone Michel Kors watch and some layered up bangles. A faux fur crossbody bag (which I found for just $26!) completed the casual chic boyfriend jeans look.
