CORDUROY PANTS: c/o Banana Republic // BOW SLIDES: c/o Banana Republic // SWEATER: similar 1. State // HAT: Brixton // EARRINGS: BP. // Scarf: J. Crew // BAG: Rebecca Minkoff // SUNNIES: DIFF
Happy Satur-YAY friends!! Today I’m jumping for joy over some amazing fall/winter staples I scooped up from my friends at Banana Republic (and also for the weekend!!) From these amazing citrusy yellow corduroy pants to these darling velvet bow-topped slides, this store is your one-stop shop for fall/winter must-haves that are anything but basic. What’s even better…the entire site is currently 40% off, making both the pants and the slides under $80 (so if ya love them as much as I do, you should shop now!!)
Click on the read more button below to get the full scoop on this corduroy pants outfit.
Although it’s still been in the nineties in Dallas (I was sweatin’ bullets when we shot this y’all), it’s time we start embracing winter fabrics. From rich, luxe textures like velvet and corduroy to classic cozy knits, this season is chock full of fabrics with all the feels (literally and figuratively), and this outfit featuring some of my top picks from Banana Republic combines lots of them.
What I love about shopping Banana Republic is that you can purchase items you know you’ll wear more than just a couple of times throughout the season, but they aren’t boring basics. You can always count on the brand to feature classic must-have items that incorporate the latest trends, like these yellow corduroy pants, for example. Cropped pants are an absolute must-have for fall/winter and this pair not only comes in the must-have color of the year, yellow, but they also come in a traditional fall fabric that’s having a major come back…corduroy. I know what you’re thinking…corduroy pants aren’t the easiest to wear because it tends to be a heavier fabric. The key to styling corduroy is to pair them with a contrasting fabric, such as a knit fabric or even chambray, but nothing too heavy. This white sweater with the cutest ruffled sleeves (similar here) was the perfect match for the corduroy pants, especially with the slim-fitting waist. For sizing references on the pants, I’m wearing a 0 regular and they’re perfect!
The other thing I love about shopping Banana Republic is their incredible prices. While both these corduroy pants and slides came in at amazingly low prices to start, they often run amazing sales on their site, so you can currently score each for under $80 in their current 40% off site-wide sale!! These velvet bow slides, for example, are $128 regularly but you can get them now for just $78! In case you haven’t hopped on the slides trend bus, now is a great time to do so! Give your feet a break from the heeled sandals of summer and opt for a cozy chic pair of slide mules. I love that the velvet bow and croco leather make these slides look dressy enough for the office! Keeping your feet comfy is especially important during the dry months ahead!
Stay tuned for more fall/winter inspiration as this girl crosses her fingers for actual real fall weather here in Texas (prayers are appreciated!!)
