For the first time since last winter, we actually had to turn our heater on this weekend – and that’s a reason to celebrate! The crisp, cool weather that’s made it’s way down to Dallas has me feeling even more excited for the holidays, so today, I’m sharing a cozy, chic (and actually quite cheap!) holiday look to help inspire your holiday outfit planning.

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving week, the true start of the holiday season, is here! We’ve been waiting for the food all year long, but one thing we often forget to plan ahead of time is our outfits. Family gatherings always mean lots of photo opps, so outfit planning ahead of time is paramount. You want to wear something that’s cute but still cozy enough to snuggle up on the couch in (and isn’t too tight either – you need some wiggle room so you can go back for seconds after Thanksgiving meal!) Which brings me to the outfit you see here.
The look I’m styling today is perfect parts chic and cozy, plus just loose enough to eat whatever you want (because calories definitely don’t count on Thanksgiving!). This little cable knit off-white sweater dress is the perfect cozy chic staple this holiday season. It’s made from stretchy (but not scratchy!) material that can easily be worn alone or layered over a collared shirt like I did with this outfit. What’s eve better – this little sweater dress will only cost you $59 and also comes in military green and navy color options.
To style the sweater dress, I added a bit of a preppy look to the collar and the sleeves with this collared shirt (which I’ve been pairing under practically all of my sweaters lately.) I wanted to still keep it it ultra cozy, and this oversized plaid blanket scarf (just $38!) did the trick just perfectly. To continue the navy and red color story from the scarf, these glossy navy rain boots, topped with red ribbon bow ties were the perfect way to top the outfit off (which I totally will wear on a sunny day because they’re SO cute!)
Stay tuned for more holiday outfit ideas this week on the blog.
Fair-well xx,
Maggie
