CROP SKINNY JEANS

Today I’m partnering up with Nordstrom to bring you another summer denim look, featuring a must-have every girl needs this season: crop skinny jeans. With all of the amazing lace up, tasseled up, embellished sandals that are trending right now, jeans that crop just a few inches above the ankles are the perfect way to wear all the gorgy sandals your little heart desires.

Finding a pair of jeans that fits just perfectly can prove to be a challenge. One of my personal favorite denim brands is Joe’s jeans, and Nordstrom has a huge selection of various denim styles from the brand, which you can shop here. What I love about their denim is that it’s just stretchy enough to be comfortable without stretching throughout the day. Also, their denim is oh-so-soft – it’s almost like you’re wearing leggings! I like my skinny jeans to fit pretty snug, so I went with a size 24 in these jeans, and they were perfect.

This particular pair of jeans by Joe’s is called the Markie Crop Skinny jeans and I got them in the “Sophia” wash – a pretty dark denim hue, but there are several other washes in this same pair. I’ve linked them all for you below as well as more crop skinny jeans at various price points, all from my favorite place to find denim, Nordstrom. What I love about this pair is the faded wash and the detail at the hem of the jeans. They also hit at just the right spot on my ankles. And for sizing references, I’m 5’5″.

To style these skinnies, I wanted to attempt to go for a “cool girl” look, so I opted for this lace up bodysuit (the material is so comfy and it’s under $40!) I love the bodysuit trend because it allows you to show off your shorts and jeans without having to worry about the crinkles and messy look of tucking in a regular top. Then I added a little flair with an accessory that’s trending this season – the bandana. I found this one at an amazing price and it also come sin white and black options. Next I had to find the perfect sandals to show off with the crop skinny jeans and this pair by Jeffrey Campbell was perfect (they also come in two other color options!)

Speaking of denim, how amazing is this denim crossbody bag by Rebecca Minkoff? It was the perfect accessory to top off the outfit. I aded one more color pop with my go-to turquoise tassel earrings (similar here).
