Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! While I do agree that this Hallmark holiday is a bit overplayed, it does so happen to land on a Saturday this weekend, so whether you choose to spend it with the love of your life, with your gal pals or with your sister, you have no excuse not to celebrate love in your life this year.
One of the things I do love about Valentine’s Day is that it gives you an occasion to dress up for, which is why I wanted to share this outfit. It’s not your cliche red or pink dress (which I have quite the closet-full of ), but it’s a fun date night look you can wear any winter weekend of the year. Let’s start with the coat – I got this gorgeous, one-of-a-kind piece from Kissue, and I am absolutely obsessed. It’s difficult to find a coat that’s both wearable, unique and affordable, and this coat delivers on all three. Blue is one of my favorite colors to wear, and I snagged this mesh baroque print dress in blue and grey hues from ASOS last year. The coat complemented the rich blue tones in the dress. They literally look like they’re made for each other. These heels from Haute Heels are so fun for a date night or a night out. They add a lot of height but also provide coverage for your feet on colder nights.
After writing this, I have the date night blues. Looks like Cole will have to take me out soon. Happy Saturday!
