Happy Monday! It’s hard to believe that July is coming to an end, and although fall seems like it’s around the corner, if you live in Texas or anywhere South, you know that we’re in for at least another two solid months of summer weather (and some of the hottest days of the year!). To help you push through those last scorching summer days, I’ve teamed up with my friends at Devlin to put together six easy summer outfit ideas.
Click on the read more button below to see and shop all six of my simple summer outfit ideas featuring staples that are as breezy and cozy as they are chic.
1 – The Breezy Cold Shoulder Dress
The shoulder show has been a major trend for the last several seasons, but as flattering as the look is, the off-the-shoulder versions of tops and dresses can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable and hard to move around in. Thankfully, the cold shoulder option offers the same flirty look without any of the discomfort, and this easy, breezy little number is as comfortable as a dress can be (in fact it’s comfier than a lot of my pajamas!!) With a flowy fit and loose, drapey ruffled sleeves in the softest rayon material, this summer dress is one you’ll want to wear over and over again. PS – the dress also happens to be on major sale, so shop it before it’s gone!
2 – The Frilly Floral Top
Florals are always a spring/summer staple and Devlin is known for their classic, feminine floral prints. I especially love a top that you can effortlessly pop on with jeans and wedges for a casual chic look and this one shoulder top has quickly become one of my go-to’s. The one shoulder silhouette and voluminous ruffles add a fresh twist on the classic floral print. The top, which is marked down 40% off!, is also available in a vibrant blue floral print.
3 – The Throw-on Jumpsuit
The thing I love about rompers and jumpsuits? They provide the easy, throw-on solution of a dress but are still give you the flexibility of jeans or shorts (as in you can still sit with your legs crisscrossed or ride a motocycle in them!) What I especially love about this off-the-shoulder jumpsuit by Devlin is how cozy and versatile the rayon fabric is, making it casual enough to wear as a bathing suit coverup on the beach or dress up with wedges and statement earrings like I did.
4 – A Top With Layers
A great outfit must have balance, and I love amplifying that balance by pairing opposites together. The mega-sleeves trend has been huge this summer and my favorite way to wear voluminous tops with statement layered sleeves like this one is to pair them with super skinny jeans. The volume of the top paired with the form-fitting denim makes for the perfect, flattering contrast and a super easy summer outfit idea. PS – if you’d prefer a pop of color, this white top also comes in a pretty coral version.
5 – A Maxi-Purpose Dress
Maxi dresses have become a wardrobe classic and I absolutely love it! They are so easy to dress up or down, they have the most flattering fit and they are always so comfortable. This floral maxi dress from Devlin provides multi-benefits with a layered high-low fift that adds extra dimension on a breezy summer evening and a comfortable and oh-so-chic wrap tie waist fit. The maxi is available in this stunning blue floral print + a vibrant multi-color floral print and a dreamy cornflower blue print.
6 – A LWD With Detail
You’ve heard me talk about the LWD (AKA “little white dress”) as a new summer staple. The trend is so popular lately that you likely need more than just one to get you through the seasons, which is why I’m all heart eyes over this embroidered little white dress by Devlin. Embroidery is a detail that’s intricate without being too fussy or dressy, and I especially love the classic navy scallop and floral embroidery happening on this classic spaghetti strap LWD. PS – this dress is currently marked 40% off so scoop it up before it’s gone!
Fair-well xx,
