Happy Monday! If you follow me (or any fashion bloggers for that matter) on instagram, you’re probably well aware that the early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has begun. In case you’re not a Nordstrom cardholder (I wasn’t until last year!) and will have to wait until this Friday to start stocking up on fall essentials, I’m sharing a look you can actually shop and wear now. This Free People striped cotton tank stole my heart when I first laid eyes on it and once you take in all the little details, I think it will capture yours too.

I stumbled upon this tie waist blue cotton tank while doing a little online shopping, and I absolutely loved it. From the criss cross back detail to the tie tie waist feature, it was so feminine and the color was versatile enough to work with so many things I have in my closet. What I was even more shocked and delighted to find is that the top is made from one of my favorite brands – Free People. I love Free People for boho, laid back pieces, so I was surprised to find such a structured, preppy-looking top from the brand, but I loved it all the same. Free People always has such a amazing quality when it comes to their fabrics, and this top was no different. A little more info on the top – it runs pretty true to size if not even a little small. I ordered a size 0 and it was a bit snug – I probably could have gone up a size. Also, you can wear the waist tie so many ways. I noticed the website double wrapped it and tied it to the side in the front, but you could easily tie in the back or center it in the front like I did.

Okay now back to this outfit I’m styling today – I wore this outfit to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in-person since some of my items wouldn’t arrive until this week. As I mentioned, there are so many pieces that this little cotton tank would work with, but for this look, I continued the feminine theme with this beautiful white lace illusion skirt that’s currently on sale. I love this skirt because the length makes it long enough to wear to the office, but it’s also high-waisted so you could easily make it weekend or date night ready with a fun crop top.

To accessorize, I wanted to add a bit of color and these hot pink tassel drop earrings by BaubleBar did the trick perfectly. Since I wore this look for a shopping trip, I needed an on-the-go bag and my new Rebecca Minkoff Isobel saddle crossbody bag was perfect. I’m absolutely obsessed with this crossbody bag y’all – it’s the perfect size, the color makes it easy to carry year-round and I just adore the braided crossbody strap and the tassel detail.

I finished off the look with some easy-to-walk-in wedge sandals, and there’s a super similar pair that are currently on sale in the #Nsale for under $50.
