From flats and heels to tops and dresses, the lace up trend is every where right now, and I’m totally loving it! When I spotted these Free People tie up leggings that gave a unique spin on the trend, I had to have them.
The tie up trend can go from edgy, sexy dominatrix to feminine, soft ballerina, and it probably foes without saying that I’m more a fan of the ballerina take on the trend. These leggings especially reminded me of something a ballerina may wear to practice, which is why I paired them with these ballerina pink lace up flats that reminded me of pointe shoes. These leggings come in 4 pretty hues and they are seriously the most comfortable, stretchy material ever, without being too-thin. They an easily be worn to the yoga studio, but I thought they were so cool I had to style them for a casual-chic look.
To style the tie up leggings, I wanted to continue the soft, muted hues, so I opted for this blush colored crop top, complete with a tie in the front, which went perfectly with the lace up flats by Steve Madden. Side note on lace up, pointed toe flats – I am completely obsessed with them and have them in several colors already. In case you love the trend as much as I do, I linked to lots more lace up flats at the bottom of this post. To finish the outfit, I kept the accessories simple with this velvet choker I found for just $5 and these pink reflective sunnies I found for under $10.
This is the perfect look for a casual weekend outing.
