Today I’m sharing this gorgeous green pleated maxi skirt that I had every intention of posting yesterday in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, but the exciting Dallas parade and events are happening this weekend after all, so better late than never, right?
Pleats are trending for spring and I love the fun texture and preppy vibe that they add to any look. I especially love pleated chiffon skirts like this one that are extra flowy and twirl-worthy (check out more of my favorite pleated maxi skirts at the bottom of this post). The great thing about a maxi skirt is that it can be worn year-round, paired with long sleeves and knits for the cooler months (or for a family ski trip) and topped off with a crop top for spring and summer. I sported this bright green skirt last week during my family ski trip last week in the snowy Colorado Rocky Mountains. I paired a lace up long sleeve white top to help the skirt stand out (similar here) and added another color pop with these gorgeous beaded turquoise tassel earrings by Lisi Lerch.
Although you can’t see them in my photos, I kept my feet warm with some grey booties and boot socks. I finished the look with a poppy red lip ala this MAC lipstick in “Dangerous” and shielded my eyes with these blue reflective Ray Ban sunnies.

February 8, 2021 at 9:01 amI love this skirt and wish Jasmine Harman who hosts A Place in the Sun on Channel 4 could wear this because all she wears is dresses and I think she’d look prettier wearing maxi skirts of any kind whatever colour including this. I’ve tried tweeting her and Channel 4 to ask if she ever wears maxi skirts, but they never reply.
