HARVEST SNAPS // TOP // JEANS // SUNNIES // WEDGES // CHOKER // WATCH
As you may or may not know, in two months I’ll be running my third half marathon at the happiest place on earth. Since this isn’t my first run-rodeo, I know that a successful race requires training AND healthy eating. While cooking healthy meals for Cole and I at home is easy to do, the one thing that always gets me is snacks. Chips and queso, chips and guacamole, spinach and artichoke dip…you name it! This girl is addicted to salty snacks, which usually come in forms that are all sorts of unhealthy. So you can imagine my excitement to discover Harvest Snaps – a low calorie, high protein snack that makes healthy snaking a snap!
Click through to find out how Harvest Snaps is helping me successfully train for my upcoming marathon and pick up healthier snacking habits in my daily life.
Yes, fruits and vegetables are always a good, healthy snacking option. But sometimes you have cravings that fruits and veggies simply can’t satisfy. As I’ve mentioned, my snack cravings usually come in the form of the salty, savory and crunchy. Harvest Snaps has snacks in SO many flavors that fulfill all three of my cravings with less fat and carbs for more of the good stuff – protein and fiber!
The goodness in Harvest Snaps starts with a plant base – either snap peas, lentil beans or black beans and each feature several flavors. I got to try lots of the different flavors and they truly were all so delicious! My absolute were the Snapea Crisps in Caesar – a salty, crunchy oh-so-yummy crisp with a Ceasar dressing-inspired flavor that’s so good you might accidentally finish the entire bag at once. That’s one of the other things I love about Harvest Snaps, though. The serving sizes are very generous – 22 snaps for just 120-ish calories (they vary slightly depending on the flavor!) So if you happen to accidentally eat the entire bag (I don’t recommend this, but trust me, it can happen), you don’t have to worry about having consumed 1000’s of calories.
My next favorite (and they were a super close second!) were the Lentil Bean Crisps in Tomato Basil – a yummy b;lend of ripe tomatoes and aromatic basil for a light, savory taste.
You can explore all of the amazing Harvest Snap snacks here (I promise every one of them is good, y’all!)
