There’s something about getting married and having your first home (we’re renting ours currently, but it’s still a first!) that just makes you want to host a party. I remember being so excited to host our first party at our home, spending hours planning everything from the decor to the food and beverages. Since we’re coming upon the time in Texas where it’s actually enjoyable to spend a day or evening outdoors (it’s just too hot in the summer, y’all!), today I’m so excited to be partnering up with my friends at Noonday Collection to share some ideas on hosting a sweet weekend gathering.

First of all, let me tell you why I love this brand so much. Noonday Collection not only creates gorgeous, handmade jewelry like the pieces you see featured in the photos above, they also support artisans and their communities in vulnerable areas across 12 different countries (you can learn more about how they’re doing that here!). You know I love a fashion brand that gives back, but if that’s not enough, Noonday is also the third fastest growing company in the nation founded by a woman. Can you say girl power?! You can of course help support Noonday Collection (and also add some fabulous accessories to your wardrobe!) by shopping their amazing collection of jewelry and accessories, but you can also get involved even more, and earn some of your favorite pieces in return! Noonday offers the opportunity for you to host your own Noonday trunk show with a party or gathering with your friends like the one I styled here with my sister.
No back to this sweet little weekend gathering. Hosting a weekend party at your home is simple and doesn’t even require much money. To switch up your typical dining room table or living room gathering, set up a foldable table outside and make it beautiful by throwing on a crisp white table cloth and some fresh floral arrangements. If you host a mid-afternoon gathering after lunch and before dinner, you can show your friends your sweet side with your favorite desserts candies and some bubbly. Unless you’re planning a large gathering, I’m all about using your own dishes rather than paper – it’s so much prettier and you can show off all the plates you’ve been hiding in your cabinets. Add some chairs around the table and get a feel good little music playing and voila! You’ve got the perfect weekend set up that you and the girls can enjoy while the guys take over the TV and watch football.

September 16, 2016 at 8:27 amI absolutely love your outfit (is it a romper or a two-piece?) and I LOVE your tableware—especially your flamingo plate, pineapple wine stopper and wine glasses. I love your personal touches throughout. I think you and your sister are absolutely gorgeous! I love your blog posts—keep it up!

September 26, 2016 at 1:22 pmHi babe!!
Well you are just the sweetest ever! Thanks SO much for your compliments! It’s actually just a one shoulder romper that I got last season! And isn’t the dinnerware so fun?! It’s mostly Anthro stuff I got for my wedding! 🙂
Thanks for the love sweets!
xx,
