Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing this lace high low dress in periwinkle, one because it’s one of the prettiest dresses I ever laid eyes on and two, because it was just restocked and it promises to sell out fast (so if you love it as much as I do, get it now!) I am a sucker for a pretty lace dress in any color, but I was especially drawn to this one because of the unique high low detail and the amazing illusion back effect. I also loved the feminine floral lace and the gorgeous hue – periwinkle is just the perfect in-between of lilac and blue.
To style it, I was inspired by PANTONE’s 2016 Colors of the Year – rose quartz and serenity. The serenity color comes in from the lace high low dress and my Essie nail polish in “Saltwater Happy”, while I added the rose quartz hue with my accessories. If PANTONE has chosen to pair them together for the colors of the year, you know it’s a good color combo! I started with this amazing light pink leather jacket from Wilson’s leather (similar style on sale here) and this irresistible rose quartz statement necklace from Bauble Bar. I added another pink pop with my Kate Spade bag and these light pink mirrored sunnies. Since the look is all-over color, I finished it with some Steve Madden nude strappy sandals (there’s an identical pair by the brand currently on major sale!)
I have made it one of my goals for the year to start playing with more fun hairstyles, so I started with an old favorite (and a super easy one) the milkmaid braid. A dress with an illusion back like this deserves an up-do, anyway. Wishing you all a happy weekend!
