Happy Fri-YAY friends!! Today I’m sharing a fun and casual look that’s perfect for weekend plans or casual Valentine’s plans that we shot in the most darling candy shop in Dallas, Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop, located in Deep Ellum. With a laffy taffy lilac turtleneck sweater (just $23 y’all!) and cotton candy pink pumps, I thought the local candy shop would be the perfect place to shoot this casual chic winter outfit.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that PANTONE had named a shade of purple for the 2018 Color of the Year with their choice of Ultra Violet (hello…yellow is everywhere y’all!). Not always easy to find in clothing or home decor items, color is often an underestimated hue in the fashion an design world. As a lover of all colors, I’ve always been a fan and I’m glad it’s finally making a name for itself this year. My very favorite shade of purple to wear is soft, feminine lilac, which is why I instantly fell in love with this fluted sleeve turtleneck sweater in the color.
The sweater is a tiny bit cropped, so to style it, I opted for high waisted skinny jeans with an ankle cut so I could show off my cotton candy pink pumps. I topped it off with a fun belt since the crop fit of the sweater allowed for it to be seen and a little silk scarf in my hair.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day (remember the glory days when everyone in your elementary school class had to bring Valentine’s, with the candy of their choice?!) I’ve decided to share a list of my favorite candies below. Don’t freak out…but I have to make a disclaimer…I’m really not a fan of chocolate and never have been, but I have always LOVED candy! So don’t be mad when you don’t see any chocolate on the list. I do love peanut butter though. Sow ithout further ado, here is my list of my personal favorite candies of all time.
1. Blow Pops
2. Sour Patch Kids
3. Jolly Ranchers
4. Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape
5. Reeses Pieces
6. Lemon Heads
7. Sour Gummy Worms
8. Hershey’s Cookies and Creme
9. Ring Pops
10. Bubbalicious Bubblegum
