Confession – unlike most fashion gals, I prefer spring and summer clothes over fall/winter. My inclination towards bright color is mostly to blame (that and the Texas heat), so in the cooler months I opt for playing up patterns, which is why I instantly fell for the animal print pattern in this top (same pattern, different top here). I also loved the turtleneck silhouette, which you can also find in this amazing dress in the fun print.
To style it, I started by pairing a military green jacket. From stripes to animal print, you’d be surprised how neutral a military green jacket can be – it can practically go with anything in your closet. If you don’t have one for fall, you’ll wanna get one asap – I’ve linked more of my favorites below.
I finished the look with my go-to faux black leather leggings and to add an extra unexpected pop of color I paired my favorite red lace up flats (I told you military green goes with anything!) I tied in the red pop with a bright lip and accessorized with gold earrings.
This is a fun look that can easily go from day to night with a swap from flats to a heel or boot.
