PATRIOTIC PIZZAZ

Maybe it’s the unseasonably rainy season we’ve had down here in Texas, but it’s so hard to believe that the Fourth of July will be here next weekend! July 4th is one of those days when cheesy holiday dressing is not just okay, it’s expected. Thankfully for us Americans, our stars and stripes look pretty good when worn too.

I wanted to put together a look that would be perfect for a day spent barbecuing and firework watching outdoors. I have to admit, I have been very hesitant to try the overalls trend, but I found this light blue denim pair on sale for just $35 at Nordstrom, and I decided to go for it. I paired it with a navy and white striped crop top  (just $12!) . I loved the casual-chic look of it and it was super comfortable too. To add a little more patriotic pizzaz, I paired this adorable star-print bow ponytail and red jelly sandals that are pool and sprinkler-proof. I completed the look with white Kendra Scott Earrings, a red lip and my favorite pair of Karen Walker sunnies.
