POP OF PINK

The August heat has been relentless so far here in Austin.  With highs soaring to 104 degrees, looking pulled together and keeping your cool is not easy.  I shared this summer chic outfit last week, but I wanted to post another summer look that works for the weekend or the office.

Remember that bodycon dress you had in college (the one you wouldn’t be caught dead in in front of your mother)?  While it may be (or is hopefully) gathering dust in your closet, no need to toss it just yet.  Throw it on under a pair of sleek shorts or a voluminous skirt for an easy summer look!  While doing a closet sweep, I came across this teeny striped dress and thought it would be perfect to tuck beneath my hot pink pleated shorts and voila!  A new outfit that was perfect for a day shopping or a casual Friday at the office.

I love bright colors, so I topped this look off with turquoise jewelry like these earrings and ring by Kendra Scott.  I added an even brighter pop of hot pink with this Kate Spade stunner and wore sandals with a tiny wedge since my shorts were a little on the shorter side.
