Happy Wednesday friends! After spending the last several days in Las Vegas and hearing the details of the horrific event unfold (as I’m sure you all have), I think it’s safe to say that we all could use a little cheering up this week. That’s why I thought it would be the perfect time to share this fun Disney-inspired outfit featuring the cutest button-topped red blazer and jeans.

This is certainly not the first or last time I’ve done a dressed up denim look here on the blog (see this recent post and this outfit I styled in early spring). I absolutely love making a pair of casual denim look dressy because it usually creates a look that’s versatile enough to take you from work to weekend. When it comes to dressing up a pair of jeans, I always start with the type of jean when I’m looking for pieces to pair with it. While with a pair of dark wash, non-ripped skinny jeans I might opt for super dressy items, for these ripped skinnies (which I also styled in this post), I went for a look that’s both playful and chic.

My favorite way to dress up a pair of jeans is with a blazer like this gorgeous red number by Tahari ASL. I absolutely adore the classic gold buttons that give the blazer a military feel and the tailored fit. The blazer actually coordinates with a pair of red pants for a super chic suit (which I totally would have styled together if I didn’t need to get the pants hemmed!) Since I knew I wanted to style these amazing Mickey Mouse pumps by Irregular Choice that I’ve been dying to share with you all (more on those in a bit!), this J’Adore graphic tee (which is just $17) was perfect for popping under the blazer. After all, I do love Mickey so the French phrase is perfectly suited for this look.

So back to the Mickey Mouse shoes. I am absolutely in LOVE with these beauties. This sparkle-y pair features a gold embroidered happy and angry Mickey face at the toes and embroidered stars on each side. But the cuteness doesn’t stop there…the bottoms of these beauties are absolutely adorable with Mickey and Minnie on each side (you can buy sole protectors to protect the bottoms…thank goodness!) Last of all, Irregular Choice shoes come in the most ADORABLE packing. From the tissue paper to the shoe box, you’ll definitely want to keep it all.
