Yellow, almost-weekend! It’s Thursday and it’s been a long week, so I’m gonna keep it short and sweet today on the blog. I’ve already ranted about how obsessed I am with yellow this season on the blog, but in case you haven’t invested in a yellow piece this season, I think I found your must-have. This silky ruffled yellow skirt may be my favorite yellow piece yet. From the flattering wrap look to the easy-to-walk in side slit and the ultra-feminine ruffles, this skirt is pure magic y’all. What’s even better?! It’s only $56!
Click through to get the full scoop on this flirty, feminine outfit that you can say yellow to the weekend in.
I’ve already given you the scoop on why I love this yellow ruffled skirt so much, but what I didn’t mention is the unique shade of yellow it is. Not quite neon but not fully sunshine yellow, this color is perfectly in-between the shades (the site calls it chartreuse) and I love it. From mustard to lemon, I think most can agree that yellow is a gorgeous color to wear, but many people don’t know what to style it with. The truth is, yellow can go with so many colors, from neutrals like white and black to other brights (like the yellow and hot pink combo I recently paired on the blog), but for today’s post, I wanted to go with a color that almost always works with yellow: blue. Whether you pop on a pair of turquoise earrings with a yellow gown or a navy jacket with a mustard sweater, yellow and blue shades work seamlessly together.
For today’s post, I went with a shade of blue that’s nearly become a neutral…a shade that’s nearly the same color as chambray (which would also pair perfectly with this skirt!) in this darling little one shoulder bow top. To accessorize, I kept the palette neutral with my go-to lace up tassel sandals and bamboo clutch and a pair of gold statement earrings. Voila! The yellow skirt looks perfect when paired with a pop of blue.
Stay tunes for more outfit ideas here on the blog. (told ya I’d keep it short!)
