Hi friends! Does anyone else feel like this is the first week back to reality after the holidays?! It’s been a rough start for me, but I’m finally getting my ducks in a row and I’m back in acton with some fun new blog posts to start the new year off. Today’s outfit (which I had every intention of getting up on the blog on the week of the premiere!) was inspired by the latest of the Star Wars series: The Last Jedi. Although I’m tardy on getting this post up, I did head off to the theaters to see the movie on the weekend it was released, and it was AMAZING!! Arguably the best Star Wars movie to date!! I’ve already been back to see it again, and in case you haven’t, I urge you to get tickets to see it ASAP…you can thank me later!
Click through to get the full scoop on this fun and flashy Star Wars-inspired look and find out how to style a sequin pants outfit like this pair which is on mega-sale after New Years Eve has come and gone.
Believe it or not, I was actually a fan of Star Wars before Disney took it over, thanks to the influence of my dad’s love for the epic space franchise growing up. You can imagine my excitement years ago when it was announced that two of my favorite childhood pastimes were merging! Needless to say, Disney’s last two Star Wars episodes have not disappointed, so I’ve been even more excited about the merge and the many movies, theme park additions and more to come. But enough about my nerdy Star Wars fan girl-ing, let’s talk a bit about the outfit I’m styling here today on the blog.
For SEO reasons and good business practices, I always do a little check up on what people are searching in relation to my outfit or post for the day, and one of the top things searched when it comes to sequin pants is how to wear them. To say that sequined pants are a statement-making piece would be an under-statement (pun unintended), so when I found this flashy pair that’s not just covered in sequins but also has a mega flare, I was so excited to style them here on the blog. The key to styling a flashy, bold item like these sequin party pants (with the exception of an event like NYE) is to underplay them with a casual piece like this vintage Star Wars graphic tee I scooped up for just $38! While a denim jacket or black moto jacket would have also paired well with this look, I decided to add a little more shine with this rose gold metallic moto jacket (currently on mega sale!!) To continue the fun Star Wars flair, I loved the addition of this fun star-embroidered beret I found and to add to the 70’s vibe I kicked it up a notch with these white booties.
Stay tuned for more fun and flashy outfit ideas for 2018 here on the blog!

January 9, 2018 at 2:45 pmLove this look! As a major Star Wars fan, I approve of this outfit. Although I’m going to have to disagree with you about the Last Jedi being the best. I loved the movie for what it was but in no way was it the best. I still have so many questions left unanswered. Also do you ship Reylo?
