TOP: similar River Island // SKIRT: Gianni Bini // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott // RING: Kendra Scott // LIPSTICK: Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Hot Plum // NAILS: Essie Tart Deco // CLUTCH: Zappos // HEELS: Chinese Laundry
If you can’t already tell, I’m a huge fan of clothing with unique silhouettes, so I was immediately drawn to this top I spotted at Zara (the top is unfortunately sold out but you can find a similar one by River Island). The slight crop, bold black and white stripes, and dramatic bell sleeves begging for a pairing equally as pretty, which is why I was so excited to find this white embellished skirt by Gianni Bini to pair with it (now on sale!). I accented the silver beading on the skirt with these gorgeous silver studs from Kendra Scott and these silver capped heels by Chinese Laundry. Since I’m wearing all neutrals, I wanted to go with a bold lip color, and this Maybelline lipstick in Hot Plum provided the perfect pop (which just so happened to compliment this darling little pink house on Fifth Street in Austin).
I wanted to do something a little different with my hair. It was curled the night before, so I teased the top a bit, gathered it as I would for a low pony and twisted for a messy bun shape. A few bobby pins and hair spray, and I had a less-than-5-minute updo that went perfectly with this look.
I love this look for a date night in the city (in fact, I may even wear it to a dinner date while I’m here in Chicago!).
Fair-well xx,
