Happy Tuesday! While I’m enjoying the sunny days here in Texas, the sudden heat has thrown me for a loop. We went from having averages in the 70’s in May right up to the high 90’s in June, and I’m quickly remembering what real spring/summer season is like here in the lone star state. Hot days can make it hard to dress chic while staying cool, so I put together this little look for those of you who looking for a put together look in the heat of the day.
I wore this look on Sunday brunching in Dallas with my sister. We grabbed a patio seat, so I was certainly glad to be in a skirt and a sleeveless top. I paired my staple white crop top with a black asymmetrical skirt to start. To pull the outfit together (and to offer a bit more coverage), I wore this long structured blush pink vest and a slate grey statement necklace from Kendra Scott. To add a bit of height, I wore my new white flatforms (which are on sale!). To finish the look, I wore this adorable blush-toned floppy hat (just $28!) and my new Kate Spade “Marry Me” book clutch (which I also snagged on sale!).
