WEAR TO WORK STAPLES UNDER $100

Days spent in a cubicle can be the most difficult in the summer, so today I’ve teamed up with Nordstrom to bring you wear to work staples under $100 with this office-chic outfit that won’t weigh you (or your credit card!) in the heat of the summer.

Getting back from a relaxing summer vacation and heading straight to the office can kind of be a bummer, but one thing that makes it simpler is having some go-to wear-to-work pieces, which is why I’m styling this look featuring the most darling pleated skirt, a go-to camisole, sleek studded pumps and a carry-all tote, all under $100 at Nordstrom, today on the blog. While I work from home now, I did work in the corporate world for three and a half years, and I still dress up in workwear for events and brand meetings, so I do have some experience with office chic outfits.

Now let’s talk about the outfit I styled today. When I spotted this pink pleated midi skirt, I scooped it up immediately because I knew it would be perfect for summer brand and consulting meetings. I think women can easily be both fashionable and professional in the work place and this skirt is proof. Pleats and this dreamy pink hue are majorly trending right now and this skirt hits at just the right length to make it appropriate for any office setting. Also, the elastic waistband makes the skirt super comfortable for an 8-hour day and you simply can’t beat the price.

Next, I wanted to find a top to wear with the pleated midi skirt. While a classic tailored white or chambray button down would pair perfectly, summer days in Texas are hot, so I opted for this staple camisole (just $30!) that provides plenty of coverage and can easily be worn with a blazer, but allow a little breathing room for the heat.

To finish off the look, I wanted to go with a polished pump, and these studded t-strap beauties added just the right amount of class and sass and they also happen to be on sale for under $40, and come in three other gorgeous colors. I finished my workwear-ready outfit with this reversible leather tote that can easily carry all of your work necessities, from your laptop to you lunch and can also double as a carry-on. I also love that this bag reverses from black to brown so it can match practically anything you wear to work.

For accessories, I opted for classic and simple, starting with this gold tassel necklace by Kendra Scott and these drop earrings by BaubleBar. To keep the neutral palette, I carried this blush-colored adjustable crossbody bag that I also scored for under $100.
