WHITE FIT AND FLARE LACE DRESS

I may not be in Kentucky (I’m actually posted up in a hotel room in Louisiana currently), but I’m still from the South, so today I’m sharing this race ready look featuring this adorable white fit and flare lace dress in honor of Kentucky Derby Day.

After getting married and wearing about 2,000 white dresses for a whole year, I kind of laid off the little white dress thing, but when I saw this adorable white fit and flare lace dress featuring the loveliest illusion neck and a twirl-worthy silhouette, I knew it had to be mine. The dress is by Donna Morgan and she makes some of the prettiest, feminine dresses ever (see more of her collection here!) I love the delicate lace material used in the dress and the subtle pleats in the skirt that make it ultra girly. Fit and flare dresses have been a staple for women for decades, and for a good reason. To style the dress, I started with this fun, bow-topped hat (only $24!) to continue the Kentucky Derby theme (hey there’s only so many occasions we can wear fancy hats like this one here in America!). Then I added a little floral, feminine flair with this mint statement necklace by Baublebar (only $34!). I wore these pink lace up tassel sandals (I found them available here in more sizes in case yours is sold out!) in my previous post and I can assure you that this won’t be the last time I wear them because I’m OBSESSED, and they also happened to top off this flirty and fun look perfectly.

For my fellow non-Kentucky residents, this look is also perfect for a bride on her bridal shower, for church or for a day event like a garden party.
