Happy Monday! I’m starting the week off with an extra bright and cheerful look featuring a color combo I  absolutely love: hot pink and bright yellow. It’s certainly no secret that I love a vibrant color combination (take this colorful red and pink outfit, for example), but I’m well aware that it’s not for everyone. That’s why I love that this hot pink asymmetrical skirt (which I scooped up for just $45!) and yellow wrap blouse (just $48!) can easily be paired with neutrals for a more subtle statement.

Whether you love to go bold like me or would prefer to style the pieces as separates, these under $50 pieces are perfect statement pieces for your fall closet when you want to break away from the dark and neutral hues of the season and give some color a splash. So for starters, let’s talk about this skirt. I absolutely love the gorgeous pink shade of the skirt and the unique asymmetrical cut that totally remind me of origami. It’s also made from a thicker, more forgiving material that won’t show the material of your shirt if you tuck it in, which I love! One of the other things I love about it is that the skirt is available in regular, petite and curve options, so any gal can rock the look! I actually ended up buying a petite in the skirt because while my height is very average (5’5″), my torso is long and my legs are short, so petite bottoms usually work for me. This is a size petite 2 and I loved the fit.

Next up is the vivid yellow wrap blouse. I’ve talked about how much I’m loving yellow this season a few times on the blog this year (here and here , for example), and I’m so happy it’s here to stay for fall/winter. For the cooler months, I’m especially loving the richer tones of yellow like mustard and the sunny yellow shade of this top. What I’ve always loved about wrap tops is how flattering they are. This one has more of a crop fit, making it perfect for pairing with your high waisted skirts or denim. I also adore the peep hole back of the top, which you can see in the photos above. I love the style, so much, in fact, that I actually went back and bought it in white too.

Finally, it’s time to accessorize. We officially have more than enough color working in this outfit thanks to the vibrant top and skirt, so when it came time to pull accessories, I opted for neutrals.  Since we are officially in fall mode, I went for tones of black and gold with my accessory choices, starting with these lace up tassel sandals and this gorgeous gold and black belt by Raina Belts. I also ended a bit of sass thanks to this gold chain strap leopard clutch and my gold lion drop earrings.

Stay tuned for more colorful fall outfit ideas here on the blog.
