HOT PINK CUT OFF DENIM SHORTS

The officially official start of summer is just days away and Dallas is making it so obvious with temperatures in the 100’s. Just in time for the hottest days of the year, I’m teaming up with Nordstrom to bring you my summer denim style, starting with these amazing hot pink cut off denim shorts.

Summer denim is a must, and Nordstrom is always my go-to when it comes to denim because they carry all of my favorite brands. I actually had been looking for a pair of pink denim shorts for a couple of months and I was tickled pink when I came across this pair by Hudson Jeans. The washed, neon pink hue was an instant selling point to me, but I also loved the frayed, cutoff look and the slightly waisted fit that would allow pairing with summer crop tops. A hint about the sizing of the shorts, the site says “true to size”, but they actually run a bit large in my opinion. I’m usually a 25 and I had to exchange for a 24, and they still had wiggle room. 

To style the hot pink denim shorts, I started with this adorable white, flowy top that I also recently found at Nordstrom for under $45. I just love the strappy details and the little crochet addition in the front. Since you’ll definitely see your bra in a top like this, I opted for a pretty bralette to wear beneath it (similar here), but you could also wear it as a swimsuit coverup and let your bikini peek out.

For accessories, I started with these nude wedges to elongate my legs a bit (similar on major sale here). I like to keep my accessories light for summer day outfits, so I went with these pretty Kendra Scott statement studs and layered up a few of my monogram necklaces, including this new mint acrylic one my sister just got me as an early birthday gift (how cute is it?!) In the summer, I’m often going to the pool or beach during the day, so I like to have a few go-to beach bags like this amazing colorful tassel one by Mar Y Sol.

This is the perfect summer weekend outfit, and I’ll probably be breaking it out this weekend.
