Happy Monday! I’m back once more with another home decor blog post, and I’ve saved my absolute favorite for last. As I’ve previously mentioned, I’ve been a bit frustrated with renting a home because of the constraints on paint, flooring, etc., but my friends at Chasing Paper have totally changed the game with their easy-to-remove wallpaper choices. Thanks to this gorgeous lemon print wallpaper from the brand, I FINALLY had a room in our home that was worthy of all our gorgeous Mackenzie-Childs pieces that I’ve been dying to display and share with you all (and I apologize for the extreme delay, but as you can see from the pieces, they deserved a setting that’s equally as beautiful). Since I finally had the creative freedom to transform one of the walls in our home, this room has easily become my absolute favorite in the house.

Thanks to our new Chasing Paper wallpaper, our MacKenzie-Childs serving and tabletop pieces, and some amazing new spring finds from my friends at At Home, I was able to completely transform our dining room into one that’s ready for any and every spring and summer party. So grab yourself a glass of iced lemonade, come on in and see our colorful farmhouse dining room makeover from tabletop to bottom. 😉

I’ve long been a fan of wallpaper and yearned for the day Cole and I bought our own home so I could put it in our house, but I didn’t know it was now so easy to put up and remove, thanks to brands like Chasing Paper. Covering our entire wall in the lemon print wallpaper (which is actually nearly double as long as you’ll see in these photos), took my sister and I around 2-3 hours to complete! And the difference it made is absolutely unbelievable. It totally transforms the room, making it brighter, more inviting and tying every little detail together. My next must-have for this room came when I spotted this amazing navy gingham chest from my friends at Grandin Road. You might recall their incredible pieces that helped transform our tropical chic living room, and this gingham piece is another example of the truly unique pieces they carry for amazing prices (this chest is just $399!) The navy color paired perfectly with the yellow wallpaper while the gingham and lemon prints together totally captured that colorful farmhouse feel.

You might remember the amazing trip I took to the MacKenzie-Childs headquarters in Aurora, New York last year. Since then, I’ve fallen head over heels for the brand and have been acquiring a gorgeous MacKenzie-Childs collection that I’ve been so excited to share with you all. Thankfully, our dining room transformation provided the perfect opportunity to do just that. I knew the bright and cheery lemon wallpaper would be the perfect backdrop to feature my classic MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check pieces and the colorful hand-painted glass pieces I’d scooped up from the brand as well. I am SO in love with how it all turned out. One of the things we learned while touring the MacKenzie-Childs HQ was that the black and white pieces from their Courtly Check collection could easily fuse with practically any dinnerware and serveware that you already own. When I scooped up these checkered charger plates and various serving bowls and platters in the classic Courtly Check, I knew they would especially work well with the colorful array of animal-inspired plates I’d gotten from our wedding registry. From the checkered chargers topped with colorful decorative plates that completely made the table setting to the stunning floral painted cake stand atop the navy gingham chest this room is definitely proof to how easily MacKenzie-Childs piece work with every corner of any space.

For the finishing touches of the room, I turned to my friends at At Home. I absolutely LOVE going to At Home for affordable pieces that complete any space. Besides their amazing prices, I also love how much variety they carry at their store. They pretty much carry every color, pattern and style you can dream up, and it was the perfect final stop to complete our dining room transformation. I scooped up the perfect neutral curtains for the room, a tufted quilt bench for our dining room table (which I also repainted for the transformation…it was black before!) and a standing vase with bright yellow flowers that tied the yellow wallpaper in perfectly. I also added more of the farmhouse feel with stacked wicker baskets (which double as amazing storage!) and wicker placemats. The lemon floral candle rings, gold candle holders and green apple accents helped finish off the colorful farmhouse table setting perfectly.
