Whether at a backyard pool party, on the lake or at a beach, a swimsuit is practically a necessity for Memorial Day weekend. Even here in Texas where it seems to rain non-stop, I was able to make it out to the lake for a few hours and debut this pretty little bikini by Zinke from 1975. In honor of the holiday weekend, I wanted to share some photos of my new favorite bikini as well as some other poolside accessories I love.
I’m a sucker for anything girly and colorful, especially when it comes to swimwear, and this adorable suit delivers. I absolutely love the feminine ruffle details and the neon pink, lilac and blue floral pattern on the bandeau top. I’m a big fan of mixing and matching solids and prints, and these blue bottoms complemented the top perfectly. I was a little hesitant about the ruching on the bottoms when I tried them on, but the cheeky effect was actually fun and flattering. 1975 carries several of Zinke’s unique and fun swim pieces – check all of them out here!
I accessorized with my favorite sunnies from Ditto, a floppy sun hat, an easy breezy long button up and my favorite hot pink Jack Rogers sandals. I layered a couple of small necklaces and my new colorful druzy silk wrap bracelet from Horse Feathers for a little sparkle. I was so excited to find this oversized carry-all in vivid coral at Target. I packed it with all of my swim essentials, from my Cinderella towel to a pink beach ball for fun. Hope you all have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekened!
