FULL FLORAL MAXI

SKIRT:  Rare Trends  //  CROP TOP:  similar She Inside  //  SUNNIES: Toms  //  WATCH:  Michael Kors  //  SNAKE CUFF: similar Louise et Cie  //  CLUTCH:  similar Yes Style  //  HEELS:  similar Forever 21

From midi to maxi, the 50’s full skirt trend has made a major comeback, and I’m certainly not complaining. There’s something about a full skirt that just makes you wanna twirl. The silhouette is so feminine and flattering on every figure.  I rocked this lilac full midi skirt a few months ago on the blog, but I may be even more in love with the maxi versions of the trend.  So you can imagine my excitement when I spotted this beautiful full floral maxi skirt from Austin-based clothing label Rare Trends (I’m also loving this navy blue one by Shabby Apple).

I styled the skirt with a bustier crop top (similar She Inside), also from the clothing label, for a look that’s perfect for a fall black tie wedding or evening event.  I love the idea of swapping a formal dress or gown for a gorgeous full maxi skirt and crop top as an unexpected twist (did you see Sarah Hyland’s look at the Emmy’s? Obsessed.)  To accessorize, I wore strappy black and gold sandals, a studded gold clutch, vintage earrings and this amazing snake-inspired gold cuff from Kendra Scott (similar ).

Next time you’re shopping for a fall or winter special event, consider swapping your traditional dress for a fun, feminine full maxi skirt.

Thanks so much doll! I LOVE this top – it can be paired with so many things and the velvet texture makes it easy to wear with on for fall/winter.

Thanks so much for the love!
